Am I correct in assuming False knock other than robbing power is otherwise harmless?
Yea that is true until u have the tuner turn the sensitivity down on the ks because your tired of chasing false knock and then something happens wheir real knock comes into play and the wipe a piston or rod out.Its a real fine line that alot of us walk, but i rather have my ks working correctly and then if their is absolutley no way to fix the false knock then maybe turn down the knock sensors. But u better make sure it is 100% false knock!!!!

Yup... that's mine. And I'm still showing slight knock while cruising. I'm thinking it could be because I installed the BMR differential bushing lockout kit matched with my polyurethane motor mounts. It's just causing enough NVH at those RPM's that the knock sensors are going crazy. At least that's what Lind told me could be causing it. I'm on E85 so it pretty much has to be false knock.

false knock is exactly that "false".......put some 100+ octane in it and if your still getting false knock it is truly false knock.....then have your tuner turn down the knock sensitivity and call it a day....i was getting false knock on 116 octane so turned the sensitivity down and the car ran like a champ....anything can cause the false knock, in my most recent case on my 2014 it was because i swapped in a tubular k member and the solid mounts could be felt through the entire car.....turned down the knock sensitivity and all good now....
That's what Jon Lund Jr told me today. After adding my BMR differential bushing lockout kit along with my polyurethane motor mounts the knock sensors are going crazy I think.

This is probably going to be one of my issues, but I noticed I was missing one of the washers that go on my vertical links in the rear (1 missing on driver rear side). Could this be contributing to the knock since it may have room to hit?

Honestly I'm not sure.. but it's worth a shot to add a new washer.

I went ahead and secured the oil line better to where it won't tap on anything. I also cleaned my MAF sensor and dumped my catch can out. Not sure what else could be causing the false knock besides the added NVH from my BMR differential bushing lockouts and polyurethane motor mounts. The car is on E85...

The tuner might turn down the sensitivity just a bit on the sensors. Only reason mine wouldnt do it is because it saw 9*

There are tons of people running those parts that don't have knock though. Not saying it couldn't be that...every car is different.

Kind of interesting that it happened after I installed the BMR differential lockout bushings. One of these days I'll get around to pulling them off to see if that was the culprit.

You're making me nervous. I have a set in the box, waiting to install my 3.31 pumpkin.

I bet its more the poly motor mounts over anything. I commented on your facebook post with my header flanges having a ton of play. Still have to go out and test but i cut the ball and socket out and ised these. $30 fix

update: Car is till showing knock, but I've noticed that it comes in sometimes when i'm just at partial throttle about 2*. No clue what this could be since the engine would not be torquing over.
