Yikes these went from being on my mod list to the avoid at all costs list!
I'll wait for whatever comes out next, and if nothing does then it's better to have nothing.
If you use the clips correctly my from flaps look really good. I haven't installed my back flaps yet.

I emailed Jaeger and they said they are at lest 6 months out, Possibly more.
Wow! I called them a few weeks ago and the guy said they have someone on staff with a '15 model. I took it mean the '15 owner recognized the issue and escalated their attention to this market opportunity. As of that time, he indicated they were thinking around a couple of months. :kickrock:

Installed. Instructions were a bit murky. Here's a few tips.
  1. All the reusable clips are two-piece, male/female types. You pull both parts for the fronts and the bottom ones on the rear, but just the male parts for the top two on the rear; the female parts on the top two receive the screws.
  2. The u-clip for the front can only be inserted part way. If you go too far, it releases tension. It takes some fiddling.
  3. You can use the u-clips to pull the tops in, but this creates a bit of a bulge between the u-clip and the plastic clips, sort of unseating the curve of the flap from the fender. Letting the curve match makes the top stick out, which looks worse. Odds are the clip will slip over time and the top will come out to its natural, sticking-out position.
  4. There is no plastic clip for the top screws on the rear. They seem to line up with the holes in the plastic fender bracket, but the hole is far too large. I resorted to screwing into the bracket between the holes.
The rears fit nicer than the front. I may pull them and trim them to fit a bit nicer if I can think of a way how to get the cuts good and straight.

Fronts stick out about 1/2 inch. Shouldn't they taper at the top? Did I install wrong or do they need to be cut to taper at the top?

They should but they don't. The rears fit much nicer.

You can try to draw the tops of the fronts in a little with the clips, but they will probably just lose grip and they'll pull back out again, just like mine do.

splash guards...

I used a tin snips to trim/taper off the tops of the front splash guards. Mine stuck out too far also...as previously mentioned...the metal clips really don't hold the top of the guards in as much as they should. But still better than having road debris chip away at the lower panels. Can't wait to replace them with real molded splash guards.

Problem solved!

Why didn't I think of this before? Simple solution:

  1. Widen the top two holes with a Dremel, so the flaps can be tipped in at the top. Yes, I know it's some ugly Dremel work, leave me alone. :p
  2. Snip off the top tip so the clip can reach the fender lip.
  3. Reinstall with perfect alignment!

Took 20m, tops, including cleanup. The material is so thin, I made the cuts with a household scissors.

I had to trim as well, but I just took a drill with a large bit to the top hole.

Originally, the top sticks out way too far, it looks super goofy. I can't believe they sold these like this. But after some quick work, it's acceptable. Can't say I'm too pleased, but they do the job.

Still happy with the $14 I spent for two sets of the universal ones. Seems like they take about the same amount of work as buying the $50 set and modifying them to fit, plus they are several times as thick.

Was happy to have them the other night when the road I was on went from paved to gravel under construction with no signs or notice. Sound of gravel on plastic is much nicer than sheetmetal.

Thinking about that too. Do you have a parts list?

I would recommend this. $50 is outrageous.
