Just completed modifying Steeda 2019 Mustang Tower brace to clear my Whipple 3.0.
Note: I added 2-3/8" high X 1" thick spacers and welded the ends of the round tube to Steeda base mounting plate.

Nice!

I can't believe a company doesn't offer such a product, or is there a reason why?

I don't know why. I don't think my modified brace will clear a stock hhood.

That could very well be why.

What type of hood do you have?

If I had to guess it would be the hood restriction that is the reason no aftermarket braces are offered.

Again I think your modified one looks great.

I'll be interested to see if more experienced folks chime in.

If someone with a whipple lived near me I would install on there's and check. Now my modified brace is around 3/4" inch higher then it would normally be due to I installed 10mm FI thermal spacers this past winter.

I can definitely say it wouldnt fit with a stock hood. The whipple leaves an imprint with the hood insulation, so a strut tower brace would probably damage the hood/prevent it from closing.

I didn't know the whipple actually contacts the stock hood liner. And when you rev or make quick starts does the hood raise up due to engine movment? ?

I didn't notice when I had the hood insulation installed. I've since removed it.

Yes, anytime we use the STB on a SuperCharger - it has to be with an aftermarket hood to give us more clearance.

We can get you in to all three (3) if you want :)

I'm thinking raising the strut tower brace that much you will LOSE the original ridged intention of the brace as more flex will be possible. What do you think?

I think you'll lose some, but how much would actually take testing. Optimally, the ends of the original brace should be triangulated to the end of the mounting plate of there is room... But again, you would need to test under load to figure out the difference.

Looking at the pic again, I don't think there is clearance for the nuts.

Well, if you try it and it’s real close, all you need to do is quickly rev the engine with the hood closed and when the motor mounts flex it’ll customize your hood automatically.
