I'm thinking raising the strut tower brace that much you will LOSE the original ridged intention of the brace as more flex will be possible. What do you think?
For me, Mine is definitely stronger than stock which was aluminum and had alot of flex compared to steeda chrome Molly strut brace I welded to the riser blocks which I modified. I welded the tubes to a 1"x2"x3" solid piece of 4130 chrome Molly which actuall has 3x the contact weld area onto the base plate. .

Will raising the STB lower its effectiveness- YES
Is it better than not having one at all on a S/C Car- ALSO YES

Only option that we have that (depending on height of S/C, may still require a hood change) is using the Steeda 555-4039 Mustang Adjustable Heavy Duty Engine Mounts (15-26) to lower the engine, thus creating some space.

I don't know why. I don't think my modified brace will clear a stock hhood.
I'm having a hard time finding strut tower braces that will clear on a '16. I'm looking at the Cervini's GT 500 style heat extractor hood.
