Its more of just a reason to pull you over to check for warrants, drugs, booze, etc.

Its my first Borla product. If I had known headers + Borla S-Type would've been this loud, I would've gone with the Touring instead...oh well...still sounds good most of the time.
I'm in California too.
I got Borla S axlebacks and installed them on an OEM exhaust in which I removed resonator and replaced with MRT H-Pipe. It was VERY loud so I put OEM resonator back on. After a couple of months now I am thinking I might put the H-Pipe back on and see if I think it's still too loud.

After reading this, where a Ford Racing with X-pipe gets a ticket I think I will leave things as they are. I would guess that Borla S with H-Pipe would be just as loud.

I love cali but they do have stupid regulations...they never carry 93 Octane, they have their own emissions regulations....So do the supercars also get loud exhaust tickets...especially the Lambos?
None of the guys I know have been ticketed for loud exhausts on exotics, but I can't speak for everyone.

Those Harley's never seem to get ticketed either and I swear some of them are twice as loud as my car.

Kooks catted LTH + Borla S-Type (with the Borla H-Pipe it comes with) on mine...pretty loud but manageable with "strategic driving"

Those folks talking about NJ, at least, there is no stupid tickets for a loud exhaust. There isn't too much law on mods either, I see there people drive cars with green, blue, purple etc. headlights (which I hate, because at night it's the worst thing that can happen to your eyes, seriously), so there is good and bad sides to every law in every state. There is no point in continuing that conversation, because this topic can go on forever, especially if take into consideration statutes in every township, city, county, state and federal.

A lot of people hate on Florida, but I love it. No need for snow tires, no state income tax, and no emissions/regulations for car registration. My car can sound like hell unleashed and nobody cares. :p

California is terrible for car people which is weird because it is the home of so much car culture.

For my own experience my VW R32 had a cutout in the exhaust to muffle the sound at low speeds. One day I disabled it so I could hear the car's really great exhaust all the time...got pulled over twenty minutes later. The cop actually popped my hood to check for headers. Everything looked stock so he let me go but I reactivated the flapper just to avoid getting hassled again.

Then there is this:

http://www.rebuildca.org/new-report...n-areas-as-having-the-worst-roads-in-the-u-s/

We have the second worst roads in the nation, which is why I won't be lowering the mustang.

The weather is good here but everything else...meh.
