Is it possible to have a performance tune, but then flip the switch to sport mode and have pops and crackles? Then back in normal mode and no crackles and pops.
I think it’s possible in an automatic, but what about manual?

You mean it does that OEM from ford? No tuning?
I have wengerdPerformance tuning. I want to see if it’s possible to do it for manuals. He say on Autos, he can tune for S-Mode to pop and bang. But on manuals it’s different I guess.

The functionality exists in the stock PCMs but it's only switched on in the Bullitt, AFAIK. I'm looking at a stock M6 Bullitt file and it's turned on. It's tied to Sport mode, which can't be accessed in some manual Mustangs so maybe that's what he's referring to. That said, I haven't actually proven it works in a manual coyote mustang, but it looks like everything is there for it.

As Mike said its completely possible in the 18+ via the OEM logic, you can however use the PCMTEC Multitune to do it via other methods (perhaps you want custom logic or to tie in other things with the pop n crackle logic, eg you don't want it to ALWAYS occur in sport mode, only sometimes (you could set up a tune slot to do this),

Can I still keep my Wengerd performance Tune and use PCMTec to have crackles and pops in sport mode or track mode?

Absolutely. Wengerd use our software regularly, I'm not sure how you are tuned currently however I'm sure they can convert you over for the cost of the credits + extra tuning. You may need a new device or use a laptop depending on what you currently are using.

I’ll reach out to him and ask. I use a SCT X4 but I also have a laptop I can use. I only have FORScan on it though.

I have both HPtuners and PCMtec. And yes, I have the Sport mode.
The way it works is in factory burble mode it delays DFSO when you let off the gas, and lowers the minimum spark torque ratio to allow very retarded timing while fuel is still being injected.

You can search the parameter list in PCMTec navigator for "burble" and everything shows up. Most of it is pretty intuitive with the exception of a few things. For one, there are conditions to "arm" burble mode. The logic is there to have a minimum rpm and pedal position to arm burble mode, meaning you can set it up to only activate if you're driving aggressively....or not...however you like. Secondly, it would appear as though you can make it work outside of sport mode, but you can't. At least not with my OS. And finally, table auf51643 torque based decel needs to be set to 244. This last one will definitely keep it from working and it's easy to miss.

If you like, you can pull up a factory Bullitt calibration and see how Ford did it.
