I usually keep my vehicles fairly close to stock, only adding a tune. But when I was data logging my ecostang I noticed the stock intercooler was terrible at keeping down intake temps, as many of you already know. 0-100 runs would result in intake temps climbing into the 190's and the ecm would start to pull timing at 150 degrees. I knew an intercooler had to be done. After doing some research I finally went with MMR due to its size, and when I put it next to the stock intercooler it was HUGE (Trump voice). My initial fear was loosing/not holding boost due to its size, I was wrong. With the same tune I had with the stock intercooler I did a couple data logs and held boost exactly like stock and intake temp stayed within 15 degrees of starting temp. Win/win
Then went with a tune to take advantage of the cooler intake, and was able to run a 12.5@110 on street tires with a bad 60ft. Overall would highly recommend the MMR intercooler.
