So, I was playing around with my virtual gauges today, and I noticed that I was missing the Boost / Vac gauge. Does anyone have an idea why this is? All the other gauges that are in the manual show up. And yes, it's an EB Premium PP.

Thanks Flak. That's what I thought. I was pretty sure I saw it in a random Livernois video though.

Yeah, that sounds about right. Thanks again.

As far as integration with SYNC, I know that it can be really integrated as it was in my 2013 C-Max Hybrid (Yeah, I went from a hybrid to a Mustang, but I won it at a Mariners game :) ). In that car, you had both "plus" style controls on the left and right arm of the steering wheel, each controlling a seperate display. The one on the right was all the Sync / MFT stuff (nav, media, phone, etc), and the one on the right was the driving stuff (MPG, electric mode, etc.). My best guess is that it's a separate computer from the SYNC system, but interfaces directly with it.

Does anyone know how to make this happen? As much as I enjoy looking at my average fuel economy, watching the boost gauge would be more fun than hypermiling my sportscar.

Yeah I found this change to be very stupid. Why would they intentionally go out of their way to take out a digital gauge just because they put a physical one in the dash?

I get that at face value the reasoning is you don't need that gauge twice, but they obviously went through the trouble to make a boost and vacuum digital gauge, so why take it out just because you added something to the performance package?

Dumb.

Agreed.

Hopefully somebody come up with a hack to (re)add those features.

I'm guessing that if they kept a real and a digital gauge and they didn't show the exact same readings they would get a lot of people bringing the cars in for service to get them calibrated.

While in theory I agree, I will say the cruise control speed and indicated speed on my car are off by almost 2 mph. So perhaps they don't care all that much. And based on GPS readings the cruise control speed is correct.

I believe if you have the physical gauge, it is not in the digital 'catalog'. Not sure why, vacuum... whatever, but if I had a turbo I'd much rather have a boost gauge dead center.

Because turbo. Total crap this isn't on the PP... And to top it off it doesn't appear you can replace the vacuum gauge on the GT with the boost gauge from the Eco because both gauges are connected as one piece.. Just read that in a different thread.

Sorry for bringing back the dead. I just picked up my 16 ecoboost and I couldn't find the boost gauge either in the instrument cluster. looking at the physical one is too distracting and the bad viewing angle makes it almost useless.

Has anyone been able to figure out if the screen is hosted by the BCM (body control module not likely but hey) or Sync?

We might be able to reprogram to Non-PP?

Its pretty infuriating that my only too "gauges" is not available, digital speedometer and the vac/boost gauge ... :tsk:
