Mine recently went through the washer and dryer. I took it apart to dry out. It was indeed a pain to take apart. That fob is really over engineered, and overly complicated. The good news is that the remote still works OK, even with the same batteries!
So this is probably just me, but I had a real hard time getting my eBay key to program until I disabled the Easy Entry/Exit mode for the seats. The seats kept going forward and back and I think it just threw off my timing, but after disabling it finally worked!
When I first bought the car I disliked the clutch feel, so I took the spring out. I absolutely loved the new feel. There was no chatter or NVH. The clutch pedal returned fully and did not seem loose at the top of travel. The effort didn't even feel that much heavier to me.
I drove with the...
The clutch assist spring acts by reducing the force needed to disengage the clutch. In order to do that it pushes downward. If it were also helping to hold the clutch up then it would also need to pull upward at the top of travel. But it doesn't do that.
While it may be true that you can pull...
I got a new one off of eBay for the manual transmission for only $32. Just had to be a little patient. I set up a daily search using the FCC ID off of my existing key (M3N-A2C31243800).
This is very variable for me. Sometimes they stay on, but most of the time they turn off when I turn off the engine and open the door. I wish I could figure out why and when they stayed on since it could be useful for charging my phone, etc.
All of the keys I can find on ebay are for the auto trans (extra remote start button). I don't really care if there is an extra button on the remote that I can't use, but I'm don't know if it will work for my manual trans. Anyone know if this fob can be used on the manual trans cars?
The H model has a wider view.
I'm using the lighter socket, but with a 12v splitter+USB with a low profile plug. I ran my wires under the headliner, then under the trim, then down the door gasket, then behind the glove compartment. Wires are nearly completely hidden. Camera plugs into the...
I have the G1WH, this one sold by Spy Tec via Amazon.
The videos have great definition and look very clear on my 27" monitor. I have it mounted behind the rear view mirror on the passenger side. In this spot I can't really see the display screen, but I almost never look at it anyway, since I...
I like the semi-automatic auto-tilt side mirrors feature for backing up.
Actually... I just programmed seat memory 3 button with just the side mirrors dipped a bit. When I get ready to back up into a parking spot I hit button 3 and the mirrors tilt down. You do need to remember to hit button...
Yeah, lost my twin brother that way. He was riding along doing nothing wrong and a 55 gallon drum lid flew off a truck on the other side of the highway and killed him. I drove up on my motorcycle a short time later and saw him. Sold my motorcycle soon after that.
I know, right? I owned my car for a few weeks, and I was wondering why my gas mileage was not so great. Then I realized how much time I was spending in third gear! It is a fun gear to stay in too long.
That's how mine seems to work as well. I've driving manuals for many years, but this is my first with hill assist and I like the feature. I've tried to see if I can feel the brakes holding on longer than necessary.... maybe... slightly... once or twice, but certainly not enough to outweigh the...
Yeah, this is a little annoying to me. My 2012 Kia turns off the "Auto" light when the climate settings (fan speed, a/c state, vent choice, recirc) are manually adjusted. The Mustang keeps the Auto light on, and it can be confusing because the system is really not in true Auto mode any more.
Owner's Manual. Rear Seats:
Use the seatback release to fold the back
of the front seat forward for rear seat
access. This release handle is located on
the upper back of the front seat. The
seatback has memory and locks
automatically in the original position.
