I see the same problem with the Purple as I do the new DHG, even in the sunlight it slants TO dark to fast. I'd get it being dark on overcast days or in shadow, but if not in DIRECT sun its way to dark and almost black. It's an all or nothing color.

Exactly. I don't like dark colored cars anyways because trying to keep them clean.
But I don't getting something like this Purple or Antimatter blue when they looks like black.

MP is to purple what Antimatter Blue was to blue. That is, almost black.
Your right and I think that's Ford's safety net. Chevy did the same thing with 2 Impala SS colors.

IMO, I like it and I can understand that colors that are "Risky" from a corporate perspective must
have a larger/broader appeal so making them darker is a safer bet than a visually loud purple

Just a designers .02

FWIW, my pony is guard and unless the sun is out it looks magnetic.

My wife has on order a furple color. We live in Vegas and 99% of the time its blinding sun and triple digit heat. So I am sure the only time we have a dark colored car is in extreme winter snap conditions.

What is it then?
I think it's a false flag to throw off industry spies...lol...sorta.

Here is Mischievous Purple from the order guide. I don't see how the guide sample would show such strong purple in the sun.

Until you see the color in person you have absolutely no idea of what it really looks like. And neither do any of us. It’s not for me but I still look forward to seeing it.

The second pic looks a lot like my KONA BLUE GT/CS when the sun isn't directly on it, in the sun Kona Blue shows purple too, just not as much as the 1st picture.

Someone at work has the base V8 in that color. I always stop to admire it when I park.

Not the best performing cars, or the most comfortable, but very good looking.

Dodge does colors properly across the spectrum. Ford keeps doing glittery colors or permutations of might-as-well-be-black. So not cool. Ruby/Crimson and N4G are desperately in need of a comeback.
A clean Ruby Red car is a very beautiful car. If I was gonna break down and get a 2019 GT350, that's probably the color I'd get
