The car hibernated for the winter but it's warm and time to get things rolling again.

The final exterior PP bits and brake cooling
  • PP Front Splitter (FR3Z-17D957-BA)
  • PP Belly Pan (FR3Z-17626-D)
  • PP Front Wheel Well Liners (FR3Z-16102-C,FR3Z-16103-C)
  • Vorshlag Brake Cooling Deflectors
  • ZL1 Addons Tow Hook
All easy installs. The different belly pan and splitter required some extra screws also (W715060-S450B). Noticeable difference in rotor temps after a session even for someone as new and slow as me.

Tow hook is cheap insurance with NJMP's policy of, "If there's no hook, we're strapping onto whatever we can grab."

Follow up from this thread about the PP radiator bracing.

I did complete this but did not note it in the build. I added it when doing the tow hook. You can barely see the driver's side one in the pic in my last post.

Parts needed are:
  • FR3Z-8187-A Support Brace x1
  • FR3Z-8182-B Support Brace x1
  • W505425-S442 Reinforcement Bolt x4
  • W716409-S442 Hinge Nut x4

  • Ford Performance Recaro Seats [S650 version] (M-6366005-MG) 8/20/25
The dedicated thread when I started considering this is located here.

The seats are made by Recaro. Ford Performance does not even open and inspect the seats, they just slap a sticker on the box.

The long story short is that you need to swap the OCS sensor in the passenger seat. The bolts and connections line up.

Driver's side

The driver's seat is plug and play

  • Ford Performance Aluminum Cam Covers (M-6067-M52S)
  • Ford Performance High Strength VCT Solenoids (M-6297-M50A)

I had been having some idle issues, so I ordered both of these wondering if it was the VCT solenoids or not. The VCT solenoids came quickly, but the Cam Covers were back-ordered for 3 months. At this time, I also replaced the PCV valves with new OEM units.

LMR's installation video was pretty good, and was basically the process I followed with a couple small exceptions. Watch the whole video to make sure you have all the tools and materials they discuss.

You need to remove a chunk of stuff to get good access to all of the bolts:
  • Battery box and adjacent shield
  • Intake
  • Braces
  • Coil covers
This is the only time I've ever wished for a lightweight battery. I cut a couple of the small zip tie clips on the driver's side in the back because access to them was so bad. It was easier to just replace them.

Car runs great, idle seems smoother and it has not surged or stalled since I did this work.
