Does the weighted ball make it easier to shift?

It's definitely a nicer element and makes the action better but I was actually surprised of the weight of the stock shifter ball. U will like the way it feels and extremely enjoy the action of the shifter. The install was easy as far as I'm concerned.

If I had to do again I would probably get their's
The adapter doesn't work too well for me because of the noise it makes from vibration.
Subbed

you did lock the adapter down with the little set screw in the front correct?

it should not rattle if they are both tight.

the correct way is to screw the adapter WAYYY down as far as it will go. then screw the oem knob on tight . then back the adapter up against the oem knob hard and lock the set screw on the adapter so it doesnt move.

also the adapter should have a rubber washer in the top and is designed to crush as a dampener between the oem knob and the adapter.

Absolutely love my MGW and the grip shifter ball.

That looks really nice, would you mind taking a picture of the screw that tightens the ball? For obvious reasons it's left out of the promo pics, but that's what has me second guessing if im going to order that or just the shifter and get a different weighted knob. Thanks!

Here is the pic. Just so we are clear, this knob and the billet piece are one and not separate. The set screw holds it to the shift arm. I have no movement or vibration.

Just to add, because I also have this shift knob from MGW. The knob still threads on like normal. The set screw is just there to tighten the knob to where the shift pattern logo is straight. If you put the knob on and thread it all the way down the logo on top isn't going to line up. So you back it off making sure the logo is straight then tighten the set screw.
