Mercedes cars have similar switches and there is a massive difference in quality, feel and they work in both directions.

It's not just the materials but the mechechical switch as well. These feel like a cheap after market video game controller.

They do look cool in photos.

If you have had better it's just hard to accept less.

How about making them for us V6 owners who only have three buttons instead of toggle switches. I’d pay for billet ones. I do like my GT350 start button though, even if it’s only plastic. Although I’d like it in billet as well lol.

I like nice things, so I'd be in for it... I mean; some will say you're mad for dropping $80 on a button ($50 odd for a plastic 350 one is it??????), but really, the quality speaks for itself and without actually having the item and touching it, it's impossible to tell. 5spurs should try and get these on show to as many of the general public as possible as it'll make sales a bit easier.

Metal = premium and doesn't fade
Plastic coated in chrome will fade.

Give the plastic toggle switches enough use over 10 years and they'll go white and either people will take them out and spray them; or buy aftermarkets.

The current toggle switches are not plastic.

Though, the start button is.

There is just something off about the way they feel though. More the action of the switch just feels bad. Especially when you miss the driver mode and have to cycle through all of them again.

Found an article on Engadget than mirrors your experience:

"I do have one issue with the car's center console and that's the metal effect toggle switches. They look cheap and most of them don't even toggle. They just go up, which is a pain when you're switching car modes and you go past your desired setting. Instead of pressing down, you have to press up until it appears again. While the rest of the interior looks outstanding, it's hard not to focus on those ugly switches." (Source)

I'm afraid adding the down toggle functionality is too huge of a project to take on. New design in Aluminium is a possibility.

They are mostly plastic with a very thin aluminized shell over top. Not quite the same as solid CNC machined aluminum.

I designed these to be 3D printed for base model vehicles. With a small bit of modification to the design, they could be used for the premiums as well. I just have not had the time or access to equipment to make it happen.

C'mon 5 Spurs, build a switch/toggle upgrade that looks sharp and functions at a higher level!

What do you mean by functioning at a higher level? I think we are limited with functionality with just a flick upward and cannot "reverse" the motion as has been asked since there is no path on the printed circuit board that would allow that command.

See Zack's 3D Printed parts to convert to the toggle switches.

We make a billet button: 5spurs. Once you've used our button there's no going back to the GT350 one.
