Does anyone know what components are required to add the power seat memory module to an existing GT power drivers seat? I have the power seats and mirrors, so one would think it would be fairly simple to upgrade.

I have already inquired about this a while back. The part is not coming up on Ford's system yet, so no price availability. As far as simplicity, I understand that once you put the the part on, it has to be programed to operate. So a trip to dealer will be a must.

I don't mind going to the dealer for programming, I don't think. When I asked my salesman contact at the dealership about adding it to mine I was told it could cost more than the factory installed option of $1795 which is just crazy. I won't pay that much. I am pretty sure I can install the system, if I can just find out what all is needed.

From what I understand, all you need is the part for the memory seat that goes on the door next to the power lock. The rest is just programing the car's computer.

Thank you Alex. I will do some searching for that door part.

If you find some info on this let me know. Memory seats and auto slide back for seat is a big thing for me. I wasn't going to pay over 1k for it though, didn't see it necessary

I will let you know if/when I find out anything worthwhile Ruby. It wasn't important to me either until I tried to get into my car after my wife drove it. I am really disappointed that this feature is included with the upgraded stereo system that I have no interest in.

I'm very interested in this too. I couldn't care less about BLISS and the upgraded radio, but I really wanted memory seats. It's my only regret about the car, I wish I would have just sprung for 401A to get the memory function but it seemed so overpriced for just that one feature.

This is my first car with full power seats. Finding that prefect setting has been much more annoying than I anticipated. Then when my wife drives it, or even needing to get access to the back seats, it gets all screwed up. Then back to tap control, no not quite right, tap again, still not quite right, tap, too far...

Agree with you 100% man, I didnt want the fluff on the package just to get memory seats either. Cool man, I'm subscribed, hopefully something will come up.

Haven't used the memory seats yet, suppose it could be an issue if more than one person drives the car, but nobody but me or mechanics will ever be in the driver's seat.

Honestly, apart from memory seat, Id like just like an auto slide back on exit, then when the car turns on, go back to position. I dont mind the seat memory being there or not, but usually the memory seats come with that slide on exit option.

Hell, I truly wish that there were a power seat delete option. I would love the comfort of heated/cooled seats WITHOUT the hassle of slow/heavy power seats. The vast majority of time, I could have had my seat adjusted and been ready long before any power seat has crawled into position.

Then the hassle of cleaning. I may as well tape the button in the direction I want the seat to move, grab a drink, take a piss and come back to see if the seat is in position yet.

I've seen a few people say this, and I have to wonder... what kind of driving position are you in that you need to move the seat back to get out of the car? Do you have your chest, like, touching the steering wheel? That must be extraordinarily uncomfortable; how does that work?

Those few times I have people with legs sitting in the back. "You might notice a slight crushing sensation while I exit the car. Nothing to worry about"

I am not the tallest, so my seat moves back for me to facilitate easy entry and egress, it is a great feature. It also helps reduce shoe scuffs on the lower part of the interior door trim. As for driving position, the ability to have some bend in the knee while fully depressing the clutch, and to rest a wrist on the top of the wheel without lifting a shoulder off the seat back ,is pretty ideal.
