i wrote a pretty extensive review about the exhaust system a while back (around March).
I loved the tone and how it sounded. Deep, Low, Grumbly exhaust that popped and banged on deceleration and downshifting.
The cons...easy....it droned so bad it made the fillings in your teeth come loose.
It hangs low, but that's an easy fix. have your hangers trimmed by an exhaust shop.

Krahooligan, thank you!

Do you have any pictures of your trimmed hangers?

Did you Switch to the FRPP catback because of the drone?

Compared to other exhausts how loud do you think it is?

i dont have any pics sorry!! i switched to the FRPP sport because of the drone. i have 3:31 gears and spend a lot of time in the "drone zone" (1500-2500 RPM).
Its a different kind of loud. you can still hear it a few blocks away at WOT and cold starts are loud. i think the FRPP is quieter but has the perception of being louder because the tone is a lot different. High Pitched scream compared to a deep growl.

No, I originally purchased the kit and it was the standard GT kit, it hung low and the rear brace would not go on. Unfortunately I had installed the whole kit only to find out that the last piece would not bolt up because the verts have a rear subframe brace. When the new kit arrived it was pushed higher under the car to allow that brace to bolt on. So I ASSUME that bolting it onto the coupe would make for more ground clearance.

I feel like I just got a nosebleed trying to understand it and it still made no sense, can you dumb it down for me please! :)

So can the convertible Kits fit the Fastback?

everything about the kit was identical EXCEPT that the vert kit was tucked up higher. yes it will fit. I base that statement on the experience I had putting the standard kit on the vert. It fits but hangs to low. so it stands to reason the vert kit will fit the fastback but it will be tucked up higher.

Can anyone actually confirm that this is true? ( need a yes or no answer)

Will the convertible fit the fastback?

While I have no first hand experience....logically it would have to. Several manufacturers don't make a body-specific kit. They just design one kit to fit both. The only difference in a vert and hard top is some additional bracing in the rear. A convertible system should always got a hardtop, but a hardtop system may not fit a vert.
