Well I actually decided to try one more thing. I read on another thread that someone mentioned that the exhaust sounds are probably bouncing off the rear bumper and being deflected into the car...possible I guess, not sure. So the person who mentioned that said he pulled the exhaust tips as far out as possible past the rear bumper and it removed drone. I'll give it a shot and see what it does and report back in the morning after I get home from work.

Didn't change a thing. So, I'll get the Solo cat-back in a few weeks...

I think the street would be to quiet lol.. I LOVE Roush mufflers but I want to keep the MBRP pipes.. I found a guy that has a set of Roush mufflers for a 2015+ that has piping welded to them that might work, but he wont ship them
The Street is louder than a Fox with Flowmaster 44s. Not real quiet unless you are just cruising, and then you really can't tell it has a catback on it.

If the Race mufflers are physically smaller (shorter) than the Street mufflers, it might be possible to shoehorn resonators into the pipes. If not, you can forget it. There simply is not enough room anywhere in the system. The only way you'd get resonators into the system is by splitting the H-pipe and making new braces.
Depends on the resonators. MBRP makes 16" resonators, and their web site shows them cut into their regular H-Pipe. Looks pretty slick. I am waiting to hear someone say they have heard these in person. If they clean up the rasp on the Street, that would be great.

Someone else posted a pic of their MBRP H-pipe with the MBRP resonators. They said the sound is deeper and the rasp is gone. This will be my next project for sure. I would love to weld them into the H-pipe but I have the aluminized version and the resonators are stainless. Maybe I'll have a shop weld a brace between the resonators for more rigidity.

FYI the MBRP Street does get louder after a thousand miles or so. I heard mine (above idle) for the first time last week. It does not sound stock at all - even at just barely above idle. Honestly, anything below ~30% throttle sounds like old school muscle. In other words, it sounds amazing before the rasp kicks in.

I agree with all that. I wasn't clear, but I have the Street system (aluminized, like yours) with about 3,000 miles on it. Much better than it was new, but sure could be better.

Agreed. It could certainly better, but it could be worse too. Realistically, though, it's hard to argue with the price. I got mine for less than a third of the price of any other cat-back system. Even if I spend another $100 on a set of reaonators, it's still cheaper than the Roush axle-back.

Also, consider the fact that they hardly drone at all but yet keep a deep rumble that sounds pretty darn good.

If you want a deep (really deep) tone, go with Dynomax Mini Race Bullets. By far the deepest & loudest set up I've heard yet. They have no drone but I'm telling you they're loud! Best of all...only $25 a piece on most online sites. The video doesn't do them justice.

What size are your mini race bullets? Any pics of how they look under the bumper? Wonder how they would sound with a h pipe instead of a x
