Just wondered if it’s worth the money buying the MBRP catback with active exhaust when just an H Pipe with our stock exhaust would sound the same ?.

has anyone tried an MBRP on the Bullitt?.

cheers

Keep the factory AE and save that money for other mods. I doubt there will be any sound improvement between the two.

Already have an Stype catback but I’m really not liking the sound.
don’t get me wrong it’s loud and clean but it doesn’t quite sound deep enough for me and i know the mrbp 3inch catback has the deepest sound

I'd probably just go with the H-pipe mod first since it's way cheaper and you can always upgrade later if you want more sound.
Solid advice here. I was at the track a year and a half ago and ran into a guy with a 2020 Bullitt with LTHs, an H-pipe and an axle back, whereas I had LTHs, an X-pipe and axle back and the 2020 Bullitt had that deep muscle car sound.

Which MBRP are you thinking of getting? Don’t get the race version. The drone is awful.
And with LTH it’s very loud….

I think it’s the pro series with active exhaust valves

Yeh that’s for sure. But that said not may places sell the borla in Europe and it’s super expensive. So someone will take it off my hands for sure

I have the MBRP cat back. Race and Street variants. The sound for the race is great, but a bit loud on the freeway. The Street variant sounds deeper than Stock AE with H pipe. The cross over pipe on the MBRP H is smaller in diameter.

I made the AE swappable. And go back to it once in awhile. But I also swap back on the Borla Cat back mid pipes (cat back system without mufflers)

I have Several systems, and try all manner of combinations because it's fun.
