I'm pretty sure he was talking about the BMW having 850 HP not the Mustang and I don't see how it is possible to get that kind of HP NA on the Coyote... Getting close to 600 crank HP NA would be pushing it imo...What's the highest HP attainable without going forced induction?
My friend sent me this video of a mustang supposedly making 850 HP while staying NA.
Seems like he's talking out of his ass but my friend said it's feasible.
850 hp NA won't happen on NA 5.0 motor save for on nitro methane maybe) Huge cubes and extreme compression ratio needed with exotic race fuel. 600whp is the record as far as I know and that was on FTW purple race fuel. It made about 560whp on E-85.What's the highest HP attainable without going forced induction?

I am going to be going for a NA bolt on with cams and I am hoping to reliably make 500whp.On 93 octane, what kind of HP is attainable? Safely of course...
Ehh... 850 is possible... if F1 can drag 700-800 out of a 2.4L on 93 octane someone can build a coyote that high... BUT they would have to completely re-engineer the head, use pneumatic springs, lighten the rotating assembly and setup a super short stroke while boring it to the limit and then spin it to 12k-15k. But then it would probably blow up in 1k miles.850 hp NA won't happen on NA 5.0 motor save for on nitro methane maybe) Huge cubes and extreme compression ratio needed with exotic race fuel. 600whp is the record as far as I know and that was on FTW purple race fuel. 500whp or so on 93 with cams, high flow manifold, ported heads, headers, etc.On 93 octane, what kind of HP is attainable? Safely of course...
It wouldn't be a coyote anymore at that point though. You are changing the entire design.Ehh... 850 is possible... if F1 can drag 700-800 out of a 2.4L on 93 octane someone can build a coyote that high... Since about 2014, F1 runs totally bespoke, smaller-cube engines running high boost and turning insane RPMs....not remotely in the same ballpark. NA is history in F1, IIRC.Ehh... 850 is possible... if F1 can drag 700-800 out of a 2.4L on 93 octane someone can build a coyote that high...
That's the one I was referencing. Made about 520whp on 93 560 on E-85 and almost 600whp on FTW purple.JPC did a black boss 302 that makes over 590 whp all motor.
BRB going to find a link for that car. its on the jpc racing facebook though.
