I have a brand new 2016 GT Premium PP with the exact same issues in this thread. Build date is 08/15. The car is going back to the dealer on Monday with less than 300 miles on it. I noticed this issue on the drive home after taking delivery, this is unacceptable.
That's great... I guess if Ford was to put good parts in the car all the way thru we would not be able to afford the car...I put a boomba shifter bracket in and it has minimalised the thud by a huge amount. And what thud is left happens more quickly, if that makes sense. Before it was like *shift*...*thud*. Now it's more like *shthudift* Much less noticeable.
I agree....Don't hold your breath. It's an inherent characteristic of the transmission aka in the DNA

Kinda what I thought... ThxIt's play in the diff, when you take out your drive shaft you will feel it.
