The Autos are very nice. I like both!

As for those who do not enjoy the MT82...there is a local guy here who did a swap with all Ford parts (swapped from MT82 to 6R80 Auto)...and I think he was working on a write up / list of parts for it.

I think he stated it was only around $3K or so to do the swap. Which isn't bad if you ask me.

An auto swapped PP car seems pretty cool.

The autos are even better with a tune :D. Kind of reminds me of my DSG I had on my GTI. Sometimes I wish this car came with a DSG as well. Guess my wishful thinking lol.

Hmmm 3k with labor or by doing it himself? I am pretty crappy with the wrench. I turn normal jobs into disasters. :tsk:

Seeing more and more of these threads. i've owned 3 mustangs before this new 16 gt/cs i got a couple of weeks ago. All those prior mustangs were manuals 2 tremec's and 1 mt-82, which i replaced with a tremec magnum. My new car is an auto and i'm enjoying it alot. Already put new wheels and tires and a catback on it. soon a complete n/a build will be done with all the supporting mods. After going thru what i went thru on my 2012 and its mt-82, i knew not to buy another 1. I know manuals are a ton of fun to drive especially a tremec magnum...but i wanted the new chassis really bad so i pulled the trigger. Ya know they often say "life is short", but I've learned that life can be long also, especially when you make the wrong decisions..op pics of the new car?

Yup, he gave me the parts list. $3k for the swap. I was considering it lol.

I paddle shift the crap out of my auto. I know its not like grabbing the knob  Its pretty aggressive in sport and even more so in sport plus. The only thing I don't like is when I punch the throttle the auto will wait to shift until the red light on the tach comes on. ;) Seriously, to each their own I guess.

Mark me down as another manual to auto guy. Currently stripping the massive amount of work I did to my car to then put into the auto. I have been driving mustangs pretty much straight through since 1987 and have had 13 of them. Most of the 60's and 70's cars were automatics but even car since my first fox body have been manual. Enjoyed all of them but I am now @ 760 rwhp and hate the manual at this point. The deal sealer was when I put a Whipple on my '15 F150 and now I can't imagine NOT having an auto with FI.

Crazy? Yup, 100% but life is to short and I want to enjoy every second I have left of it so forgive me if I stop typing so I can get back to work stripping my car lol.

Congrats on the switch! This is my first manual car so I have nothing to compare the MT-82 to. 130 miles into it and I think it's fine? It's been 10 years of automatics for me so it was time to switch it up.

So 3k just for the parts? I'm assuming with labor it's going to put it out of the price I want to pay.

Not sure if this was already asked... but why not just MagnumXL upgrade it... Would have been less money too I bet.

Not going to rip on autos....they are smooth, but I'll never go back to auto in a sports car. Unless....FI.

I dread the day that you can't get a manual in anything. There are so many of these threads. I had no issues in my 13 Boss and don't have any with my GT. Drive both of them like I stole them.

Glad you're not having any issues, but clearly there as a reasonable number of people who are. I think Ford needs to ditch the mt-82 and go with the tremec unit in the 350. Have heard nothing but praise for it.

same here. I would investigate all options before trading my car. Transmission repair, Tremec swap, even Camaro SS with Tremec

Although I looked at Camaro inventory, and its mostly automatics on the dealer lots.
