I have had my car for just over 3 months and 3,000 miles. Today I completed the paperwork to trade it in for an almost identical car equipped with the automatic. I'm not gonna lie boys, this was an expensive lesson. That said, I fell like I'm going to enjoy driving the new car more every day. The general unpleasantness of the mt-82 (even with the BG fluid swap and Steeda clutch spring) made me second guess taking my car places and I hated that feeling. Picking up the car Thursday, will keep ya updated!

TL;DR traded in a manual for an auto, took it real good on the trade.
I bit the same bullet about a month ago. http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=57252

Does anyone know if the person that swapped the trans is on the forum. I am planning to swap mine over after I go forced induction. I like driving the manual but I am in search of 9 second 1/4 mile times.

You can go 9 seconds with a manual it just better be a Tremec magnum!

I've had the new car just over a week now. This thing is effortlessly fast around town. Where in the old car I felt like I had to really rev out the gears to keep up with traffic, this one just goes. I do miss that feeling of a rev-matched downshift, but overall I am very happy with the change.
Any guesses how long I keep trying to press a clutch when I get in to start the car?

I got to sample a tuned 6r80 in my tuners eco boost since he will be tuning my auto on my n/a build in a couple weeks. Let just say it was really impressive how the auto performed. Strong firm shifts, lighting fast kick downs no hesitation precise gear match to its speed, its a world of difference from stock! Together with my 5c should be awesome!

I bought my auto because I wanted it to be fast and dependable. My next mod is a set of DRs and I'm off to the local 1/8th mile to hurt feelings. I'm beating cars locally by roughly a car length that are putting a length themselves on equally modded mustangs as mine with the MT82.

Too bad we can't get forum members together for a shootout. A mt82 car is currently on the top of the na list.

Its fun, you will beat them even if they hit all their gears. If they miss a shift well then, it will be ugly!

Not bad, but at around 1,500 DA thought maybe be a little quicker than that. Makes me kinda disappointed already to take my identical car to the track for the first time. And our DA will be nowhere near that until maybe NOV.
