Manual Gearbox rattle sound

After a bit of advise please,

My 17 gt has done just done over 2000 miles and when driving around 3000-4000 rpm In second to fifth a noise around gear stick makes a rattle sort of sound, can only notice it when the radio is off, I've lifted the reverse lockout whilst driving and the noise doesn't disappear,

Anyone else having this issue?

My gearbox makes a similar noise but much much louder and also a grating/meshing noise. The box was stripped, bearings replaced and it now sounds more or less exactly the same as before. It's also reluctant to go into gear in 1st and 2nd sometimes.

The general manager of the dealership drove down to my house in a brand new GT demonstrator to prove a point and it made a similar noise but a little
quieter.

Mike at Modurstang says a lot of them do that. I've bought BG Syncro Shift II g/box oil that is going in next week. Let see if that makes a difference.

(For some reason re-fitting my Solo Mach XV has made the stick rattle even louder - addition vibration through the linkage?)

You have the radio on when you have that stunning soundtrack coming from under the hood!

I don't even know if my radio/music/mp3/CD or whatever that Shaker thing is works, as I've still not switched it on since I got the car :doh: !

Mine does it too when the revs build, although I thought the rattle was coming from behind the dash until I saw that video. It's not a mechanical noise more like trim vibration somewhere. Possibly the shifter mechanism. Fingers crossed the mgw will fix it.
