Jmeo - I would seriously consider the CB005. I think you'll find from the comments here that the BMR solution is much easier to install and offers the benefit of centering your rear sub-frame. Performance-wise I think it will also be more effective.

My $.02.

I have read all the comments and I do believe it's a great product. I have sub frame centering pins as well so I think the Steeda parts will do the same thing unless I'm not thinking of something I should be? I appreciate you 2¢ really I do.

Thanks,

Jaime

Jmeo, CJ Pony Parts installed all of those Steeda parts on my car last week for their installation video library. If you want to wait, I am sure they are going to publish the videos on YouTube over the next week or so. The videos will be extremely helpful to anyone who is looking to DIY.

Hey Jmeo. Watch as many CJPP videos as possible. VERY helpful.

I will be sure to check out those videos. Thanks guys

Well, got the subframe centering sleeves, red "street" diff inserts and subframe bushing inserts in today.

Of all the parts I have to install I figured these were the deepest into the car I had to go. They all require playing with the subframe bolts so I figured I'd do them at once.

Install wasn't to bad. The directions have all the info needed but could be written a little easier to follow. I did take my cat back down to make the install easier but all in all it wasn't to bad.

Hope to get back at it on Monday and Tuesday and hope to finnish :)

Good job! What about springs while you had it apart?

These three things needed the subframe lowered in one way or another but the subframe is not touched to do the springs. This is why I figured I'd do anything that required the subframe first.

Next I'll take the toe links and vertical links out when installing the springs and replace with the Steeda ones.

The sway bar, sway bar mounts and braces can be put in without having to take any other components apart.

Then on to the front springs, sway bar and sway bar mounts.

Do you think its possible to do the diff inserts with out dropping the subframe?

No. You have to for the space to insert them.

Negative ghost rider. For the front inserts you have to loosen the rear bolts enough to get an inch drop then while supporting the front of the pinion with a jack completely remove the front bolts (and the 4 bracket bolts) and lower the jack to allow the front of the subframe to drop to allow the room to get the bushings in. It really is an easy concept and let me tell you I was really surprised how much it had to drop. At least 6 inches!

For the rear you loosen the front bolts and drop the rear about an inch. The rears do not require a massive drop like the front.

Thanks, reading the instructions with out looking under the car had me confused, so its the 3 bolts that you remove to install the subframe bushings?

You have to lower the subframe by the subframe bolts. Once it's lowered you remove one differential bolt at a time and replace with new bolts and bushings then re tighten the subframe bolts.

The front differential bolts go in from rear to front and get replaced with a shorter bolt so the bushing can be bolted in from the front side with the remaining threaded hole that was once filled with the longer bolt.

The rear bolts just get replaced with a longer bolt to sandwich the bushing into the existing stock bushing.

Hard to type but actually quite easy to understand when your looking at it.

Hey man good luck on the vertical links. They were so bound up on mine that I couldn't install the steeda ones.

Basically I ran out of time, but let me know if you figure out a good trick to get them in.

You have inspired me Sir with your continual effort and success with your suspension and lowering springs Installation .

For with these many posts of yours I now know of a procedure to follow to do my own installation of these major parts to begin with ..I too have chosen Steeda for the benefits of a better suspension over O E .

What do you think of the Steeda subframe alignment pins ?
Please keep up the informative postings Sir .

Unlike you I have to wait upon parts to ship from Steeda .
