I am going to mfg my own catch can. I would like to plumb it up so that it vents vapor from both sides into a tee'd hose and then returns the fresh air to both intake ports thru a tee'd return hose. Does anyone know if this will cause a problem that will throw a check light? When I complete it I will post a how too.

Won't work, one side goes back to the manifold after the tb. Other side before. One side is under vacuum most of the time, but some times not and the other is all is based on rpm throttle position etc lots of variables. No way to do that, to get technical it will cause a mess of issues. Engine will run very lean as it will suck fresh air from the pre throttle body side.

By pre throttle body side I mean it will draw the air through the crankcase into the back side of the throttle body. It will not work period. Don't even try

Technically you could plumb both sides to the after throttle body port, but most likely see cel and very heavy oil usage. Crank case under vacuum at all times works for race cars, but daily not a good idea.

I have a Bob's Ultimate catch can that I'm trying to modify for my '19. Will need to fabricate new SS lines with AN fittings and figure out where to mount it. I'm thinking of hanging it off of the front left engine cover hole, since I'm not using the cover any more, but I'm not sure if it's sturdy enough there.

I am almost finished with my "William's racing" oil catch can. Just waiting for some ford pvc hose end fittings. But I can show to the finished location and overall look. I used some AN6 to 1/4NPT fittings from ebay going into the can and a 90° and 180° swivel AN6 fittings with 1/4" braided hose

Got the ford OEM breather hose ends and had to change out the AN6 with AN8 with 1/2 "braided hoses. Now its all done and I will only have to drain it at each oil change. The best part for those of us in the Socialist republic of California is that you cant tell it is there unless you look for it and know what you are looking for.

Was thinking about mounting mine as pictured, if I determine that this location is robust enough. Working now on assembling the braided SS hose, hose ends, and PCV fittings.

Here are a few photos of the how I did it. The screen material I used as a oil vapor separator is made from sun screen which is a rubber coated fiberglass material. I heat tested it to 400 deg F for over one min. with no melt or any degrading what so ever.

I'm not quite understanding why you made a tank like that with all of the quality options available?

As for your modified eBay separator - what is ensuring a positive seal? Only the threads of the cap?

I just wanted to see if I could. I have had the "ebay tank" for years as a water expansion tank on my old water cooled sand rail. and is water tight. Here are the reason I wanted to do this; 1. I like the fact that I dont have to check it at all between oil changes. 2. Oil seprators are not allowed in Ca. Therefore needs to be as invisible as possible. The Ford performance oil seperator is the only one that I have seen that doesnt look like a oil separator. Oh I have the F/P one and I didnt like the way I had to check and drain it. 3. In the complete build the only thing i purchased were the breather hose ends, ( i didnt want to destroy my OEM hoses) So the total cost of this project was about 20 bucks.
For those people that cant build i do understand the "why". However for those of us that can, we do it ourself because we can. It is as simple as that.

Gotcha. I definitely respect people who do things themselves. In this case it's a pretty simple process of adding some lines and a divider to a tank.

My concern is the sealing of your contraption. Is there an O-Ring? You compromised what little "seal" was there by cutting the top flange on the receiver neck. If there is no O-Ring I would recommend using some sort of thread sealant on the cap to tank threads if you have not already done so.

As for your comment about them not being allowed, you could hide a readily available offering in the fenderwell with just extending the hose.
