I have decided to purchase a set of take off s550 lower rear control arms, and install the big spherical bearings in them.

I have also found take off rear knuckles to purchase, for the toe link spherical bearing installation.

Bushing removals---4, and installation of spherical bearings looks like not a lot of fun, on youtube, even with a big press which I have. Like Bronco Balljoints fun , back in the day.

It saves time if I can install the bearings at my leisure and then just tear the Mach 1 rear suspension down, and rebuild each side in one session, with the hard items done.

FYI on the I-net, it appears the rear lower control arms are slightly different for Magneride; at least the parts sellers note this difference, likely for a good reason.

Anybody run into this yet?

I have a Magneride Bullitt with spherical bearings and the only difference I can think of (if there even is one), is the threaded hole and pin hole in the control arm, where part of the Magneride sensor bolts to.

The Mag Ride lower Control Arms require Mag-Ride springs, they are opposite wound. Non Mag Ride arms use the same spring on both sides, Mag Ride has a left and right spring.

Thanks for the quick replies!!!

As more things are discovered, the easier it gets to make correct decisions.

The big spherical bearing will be done, but is that other, smaller inner, rubber bushing on the LCA, ever changed?

Is it a performance item at all?

The inboard smaller control arm "bushing" is a spherical bearing.

Mageride coil springs are wound opposite, so you cant use the normal rear spring.
