Made the move to Florida!

Moved to Destin back in April from Tennessee. Not going back.

I live in Tennessee and we vacation in Destin/Ft.Walton Beach every year. Love that place!!!! I will retire there someday....

I made a nice long trip in a penske truck pulling my car a couple weeks ago too. Charlotte NC to Lake Arrowhead CA. About 2400 miles and a few sets of mountains to go through. It was definitely a little nerve racking. The car would push the 17' truck around a little if you aren't careful.

About 3 years ago I made the move as well from Chicago suburbs to Palm Coast, Fl..I had all my stuff shipped in a pod and then drove down in my then Grand Prix GTP.

We priced those pods and they were crazy expensive and we would've needed like 3-4 of them for all our stuff. We saved a lot of money by renting/driving the truck.

Thanks! Yeah we were in the SW burbs and it was definitely going downhill the past 5-10 years. We got here a week before Matthew but luckily it didn't affect us on the west coast.

Was in Orlando on a business trip with the wife back in 06'. It was July and being from WA state l sweated like a pig from the heat & humidity anytime l stepped outside lol.
lt was only toward the end of our stay that l was beginning to get somewhat acclimated to it.

Anyway it looks like a really nice place you found, the garage took priority obviously....:cheers:
