TBH, I just mount it a day before the event and drive with it on windshield to/from the track. This case looks great, but over time I figured that less stuff I have to unload and load on track, the better it gets.

Congrats with the new toy :like:
I don’t trust leaving it in the car overnight, but totally get that….yeah, not much room in the trunk (especially if you’re taking tires) so the list will have to be short and essentials only.

The screen is attached on a magnet, you just grab it and go. Nothing wrong with having a nice carry case either😁

Thank you @IanKar and @tosha.

Harbor Freight is running a sale on jacks, so I’ll head over tomorrow to take a look. While I’m there I’m going to pick up an Apache (Pelican knock off) case, so I can copy this idea…..

Congratulations! I mentioned that mine had problems booting up from time to time and camera not connecting issues. Garmin suggested I had a power issue. So instead of plugging the power source from the device to the USB, I plugged the USB into the cigarette lighter jack Garmin supplied, and I had no issues this time. I had to reboot the device once, when the camera wasn't registering. I'm sure you going to enjoy the Catalyst. I do have a small case that I ordered with it as I find it helps protect the screen etc. I do have the cage as well. I was just nervous that the device may fall off the magnet on harsh braking etc. But I seriously doubt it. My cage has a safety cord on it so it it does come off, it won't fall down between my feet while on the track.

Pacific Raceway WA done this Thursday with a Mustang Club. This track is pretty neat but unforgiving. If you mess up, there will be damage. This was my 1st time so I went about 80-90% and did not floor it on the straights. I only got a 01:40.58. Since this was a Mustang day, many of them did great times and were a lot faster. I attach the video so you can see the track and also watch the Mach1 in slow motion - ha ha. Maybe 'Cop On My Back' will post his video as he did much better times in the advanced group? This is a track I will return to for sure (and floor it) but keep the respect it deserves.

Keep the awesome videos and feedback coming!

Very cool looking track, very nurburgring-esqu with the forest in the background.

Unfortunately my go pro was not working, very disappointed. I did manage lapping right around 1:34 with me hitting the lap timer button at the start/finish, seemed fairly consistent. I have run that track a lot, so fairly experienced with it. I managed 145 mph at the end of turn 1 consistently, 7000RPM in 5th.
First track day with my new Mach 1 and more than impressed. Looking forward to more events and being able to get it on film. Here is a flyby at speed on the straight.

Test fit went well. ProClip suggested self tapers for their mount. No way that was happening. I reverse mounted some M4 screws counter sunk into the bracket and a small piece of cloth tape for extra protection.

When I mount for driving I’ll clean up the wire routing a bit, but this is the general idea.

That looks like a better mount. So the clip just snaps on? I think I'll do the same.

Yes sir. It actually snaps in so firmly it’s difficult to remove. I was worried about it hurting the dash, but ProClip has been selling this clip a long time and I can’t find any posts mentioning scratched or damaged trim, so figured I’d give it a shot.

You can use the base that came with your Garmin and M4 screws and nylocks.

Pro clip makes a Garmin specific mount to go with it, but it’s $35 and I didn’t see the point given 4 screws and nuts was $6.

And if you want to use the little suction cup wire holders for the cord (I didn’t want the sticky clips)…….

and the Garmin suction cup for the camera…..

It took about 5 min to put it all in, and about 10 to put it all away.

That looks really good. No worries, appreciate all the help you gave me, so glad this met your expectations.

Be careful takin it off, that little sucker clips on super tight.

I see you were braver than me and did your screws the correct direction. 😂

Yeah, I shortened the bolt so that it wouldn't protrude too much. If ever they work loose (but shouldn't, as I used a nylock nut), this way I can still fit a spanner on the nut and star screwdriver from the front and tighten. I don't intend taking off the clip. I hope not.
