Look forward to seeing it installed,. I opted to try the Shelby GT bumper instead so I could have my ACC working and stand out a bit as a more rare example especially retaining my gt/cs upper grille

I don’t know what it is about upbadging, debadging, body modifying, etc
, but if you’re gonna do it, do it on a base GT where you’re already at a lower cost starting point. If I had a GT and I wanted to modify it cosmetically, I’d personally go with some aftermarket options that were unique. Like others have stated on the bumper— I wouldn’t want my GT to look like a Mach 1 or a Shelby. I have a Mach 1 for the record. I’m the end, but what makes you happy because found down the road and at your local car meets nobody cares beyond thinking “nice mustang.” 😂 You’re in the midst of the Mustang circle jerk here so you’re gonna get peoples opinions no matter what you do.

I actually thought about debadging and removing all the vinyl from my M1. I’m kind of a minimalist. I won’t do it because I’m likely not keeping it forever. It would destroy the value.

EDIT: Before someone says, “then why did you buy a Mach 1?” Because of the mechanical upgrades.

I think it's more that people bought a GT and then the Mach1 came out. No reason to sell the GT and buy a mach so they upgrade what they've got.

That’s gonna be hard to do mechanically. 😂
I'd much rather keep my '19 magnaride pp1 and spend 6k on a supercharger, $500 on a trans cooler and call it a day. Versus going through the hassle of selling and then finding a Mach 1 without a huge markup... where I'd still be paying 15k of a difference. Not everyone's trying to upbadge. The bumper does look good and I would consider it, but again.. the hassle of dealing with Mach 1 guys telling me how superior they are is something I'd like to avoid as well.

If you want to avoid comparisons I’d avoid comparing a PP1 with magneride and a trans cooler to a Mach1, different cars with different performance, appearances, and price tags.

I'm not trying to avoid comparisons. I'm simply stating why some folks might be going the route of upgrading what they have. 6k gets me a car I'm more than satisfied with vs spending 15k+ to upgrade to a mach 1. Would it be an upgrade? Absolutely the Machs are badass and if there had been inventory locally this conversation would probably be going in a different direction lol.

But the car I want isn't a stock option....its to my own liking. Also why I didn't get a Mach1. Cause I don't like to keep cars stock.
Just because you want to replace a bumper with one you like better doesn't mean your are trying to upgrade to a better trim. Jesus people, it's a bumper get off your high horse (fitting for mustang forum) just because you have a M1 or Shelby. To each their own, do as you wish. I like the M1 bumper but wanted the convertible more being in Colorado. But since my bumper has some damage when I replace it it will be with the M1 bumper.

There are a lot of differences between the GT PP1 and the M1. Not that you’re in disagreement with that. Just saying
The Tremec and engine mods were enough for me to buy one. PP1 specd out well will come in well over $50K. I just saw a PP1 for $59K today. That’s more than my base M1. 😂

Base M1 here in Indianapolis is 70k minimum due to markup.

Yea, they’re crazy around here in New England too bro. Even 2021’s have markups. I found a 21 brand new never test driven for $58K locally. It had exactly what I wanted too. I did want the HP originally, but in the end I was happy to save the cash.

Hey man, happy for you. Customize and make it you’re own, I’m sure it will be badass!
just don’t badge it as a Mach 1.
We won’t have the same car either . I pre ordered my 21 in 2020 and I bought for $500 under msrp-$56500 so not bad.
My Mach 1 is limited edition and has lots of different parts in the chassis, suspension, interior that really do make it special.
To each their own.
Good luck with your build.
Mach 1's are nice. I'm more of a drag racer, so most of the Mach 1 extras would be useless for me. I bought my GT at $5,000 off the $42K sticker. For less than your M1 cost, I now have a 900+RW Supercharged GT, with the visual mods I wanted, and drag focused suspension upgrades to use it. I would be disappointed to spend $56K on an upgraded M1 (plus that possible $10K ADM in todays market), just to change most of those upgrades for drag duty. Even worse, buy a GT500 at $100K plus then put $15K in upgrades to run the same as a Basic GT with boost. Long story short, buy the one that will achieve your goals. Mine was just more achievable for the average guy.

I found a factory pull off for 850.00. I just need to order a few other parts and have it painted.
