It's even funnier with the Mach1 owners than it is with the Shelby crowd. We're talking less than 5k over the price of my 401a PP1 car. 9k if you want a premium. These are not exotics.. lower your nose folks.
Dude seriously! My plan was to get a mach1 but my dealer wanted 10k over msrp. They're nuts!!!

Honestly though (personal opinion ahead), the unique bumpers and badges are part of what sets the trim levels apart. You wouldn't put a Mach1 badge on a GT, would you? Then why do the bumper? It's basically up-badging a lower trim. This isn't elitist or a self-esteem issue - although an argument could be made maybe it is for the up-badger.

Wow 10k markup for a Mach 1? I mean they are nice and all but wow. I bet the one in the dealership down the street from me is still sitting in the show room due to the MSRP + ADM.

We are all entitled to our opinions, and I support yours even if it is wrong. ;)

There is a very big difference between putting a Garden Snake badge on a GT or a GT on an Ecoboost than there is swapping a bumper or adding a spoiler or changing the hood. Although an argument could be made for someone who added the front bumper, fenders, hood and spoiler of a GT350 and stripped all the badging to "appear" as a GT350 however I don't believe there is anything wrong with taking the elements of various cars and adding them to make yours truly yours.

You mentioned in another thread I was a part of that you love your GT350 steering wheel (because it came with your GT350) "and should have put it in my GT". Wouldn't that be up badging a lower trim or did you, retroactively, think it would have been a great idea because you enjoyed the driving elements?

I think we should all take a step back and realize that when we die St. Peter doesn't usher in the GT500 owners first, the GT350 owners second and the GT and EB owners last. We all get buried in the same ground or go into the same oven. The sense of entitlement that some owners have kinda makes me laugh. Just because they could afford more than the next guy? When the world ends rich people die as quickly as poor ones.

I dont like any of the aftermarket bumpers. The steeda one was ok. I also thought about grille change and adding a splitter but I did that on my 2019. I wanted a mach1 but didn't understand the 10k mark up. Aint worth all that. So next vest thing was a 2022 gt premium in mischievous purple. Added the wing and now the bumper. And don't have to deal with the silly stickers on the car.

Well said man. As far as the gt500 and gt350 bumpers on gt it's just already been done. And I like the style of the mach1 bumper so imma do it.

Exactly. Rock on with your bad self and remember, when the Zombie-pocalypse comes you get a chance to settle up with all the naysayers whether they walk or shuffle. ;)

Cool mod and I'm interested to see how this is done. Do the Mach1's have a fender liner vent to relieve the air pressure from the lower open grilles at high speeds? You may want to consider how Ford designed the air to flow through there.
As far as I know it bolts up to a non pp belly pan. I'm assuming they took the aero into consideration.

Not a chance. If there are buyers that think it looks cool to change bumpers from a higher trim, someone will sell it, no matter how cringey and in bad taste it is.

I stopped counting how many F150 XLs with the DOOD Raptor grille I saw driving around my area.
Idk how the mach1 separates from the gt though other than the tremec option and decals. I wasn't willing to pay Mark up for that. Now a gt500 or gt350 I can see where their feathers get ruffled.

In this day and age it seems to be pretty common for people to change out body parts so why not on a car too...lol
We're going to have the same car with different prices 🤣🤣🤣. And mine will have 400+ more whp in a few months lol.

I'm actually just looking for a way to 'de-pony' the grill.

Hope u didn't pay over msrp bud.
I didn’t, I’m also not spending running up a budget throwing aftermarket parts on my car to make it look like the one I wanted.

You mentioned in another thread I was a part of that you love your GT350 steering wheel (because it came with your GT350) "and should have put it in my GT". Wouldn't that be up badging a lower trim...
No, because flat-bottom steering wheels aren't unique to the GT350. They are found in many brands of cars (like Audi, BMW, Ferrari, Volkswagen, etc), and serve a functional purpose (steering position cues, better legroom), unlike a styling element such as the Mach1 or GT350 bumper, which is unique to the design of the model/trim. Now if I said put the steering wheel AND the Shelby Snake airbag badge in a GT, THAT would be up-badging a lower trim, and of course an unforgivable sin and an abomination  🤣

I appreciate your support to hold my wrong opinion, and I will also support your right to hold a wrong opinion. šŸ˜†

Yea id like to see the finished product here... I Love my GT500 front bumper but im still curious to see how this Mach1 bumper turns out...

I honestly dont get the negativity. Going with aftermarket parts and rebadging the car are two VERY different things. My bumper doesnt say "GT500" on it anywhere... Im not trying to fool anyone into thinking I have more horsepower. I still have the 5.0 badges on the side. Any educated Mustang owner knows what I have under the hood; and the remaining vast majority of people dont know whats going on... to them my car just "looks better"

Big difference from those guys who put a Hellcat badge on their SXT Charger.

I rolled into a curb at low speed and fucked up my front end real bad, and then used that as an excuse to splurge on the GT500 front end. It looks WAY better; I have Zero regrets; and theres absolutely nothing "cringy" about it... Rolling into that curb was a blessing in disguise.
