I have a 21 Mach , car drives great in sports mode or normal. Nice and sharp when accelerating and driving, When I select Track mode the throttle pedal goes near dead, very little response and almost feels like a flat spot on pedal down. Feels like Track mode is disabled or something. Any ideas on what this could be? I tried different key.

... my track mode significantly deadens the response of the throttle pedal. This is likely so that minute inputs don't upset the balance of the car on the track. With a harness it is far easier to control your foot, but if you're cornering and no harness you end up using a lot of muscle control holding yourself in the seat, bracing against the door etc... and I can see how your foot can be part of this equation. At least this is the only theory I can come up with.

... but my '21 GT does this as well...

I noticed the same thing during the test drive and wondered if the dealer had forgotten to program it out of transport mode.

As mentioned, the last thing you want on track is a very aggressive and touchy throttle. A slightly delayed linear pedal is much better and controllable. There should be very little time on track where you're peddling the throttle, for the most part you're either 0% or 100% so in between doesn't matter too much.

I noticed the same thing and this makes total sense. Sport mode on the track wouldn't be smooth at all!

I agree you don't want a touchy throttle, but you should be using maintenance throttle quite often in corners on the track. All of the time between when your foot comes off the brake and when you have the car straight enough to give full throttle should have at least some amount of throttle. Otherwise you could be lapping more quickly.

I noticed a while back my shifting had to change in sport plus mode. It does something to the revs when you come off the gas to shift and throws my clutch timing off sometimes. It’s like learning two different manual cars in one. My old Mazda seemed much more forgiving in that regard. This is just a beast. Haven’t really played in enough in track mode-yet.
