Mach 1 question paint under hood

Just curious for those guys who have metallic colored 2021 or 2022 Mach ones say blue or silver metallic is your car clear coated and painted under the hood down into the engine compartment I’ve only seen inside flat colored cars and I know that they are. I have owned BMW M3 and M4 all metallic in the past the metallic colored cars were never painted and clear coated down into the engine compartment the flat colored cars always were might have been cost cutting it was very annoying same with VW r32s I owned lots of inconsistencies in production

Worked for a car mfgr. for 24 years. Any small part savings leads to huge savings in a year. Guy on the line noticed they could drop a 5 cent nut from the battery bracket. Wrote up the suggestion and he got a max award.
Add environmental cost savings, less time to paint vehicle lowering shuttle time (increasing line rate) ... no clear coat under hood makes sense.
Apparently base coat is porous, and a chance of corrosion, so have heard mfgrs use a matte clear from some discussions. Robotic paint path is a simple thing to change to add or subtract passes - however switching coatings and line purge to gun wastes materials and time. They just wouldn't use a different clear under hood. few seconds to continue clear under hood, it had to be about material savings. Our plant clear coated the underhood in the same pass as the top, so it was never a discussion.
Have had a couple BMWs, and the under hood was dull. I always assumed they just base coated only,

See when I get mine I have noticed with more than one manufacturer that it’s not consistent and you will notice that some parts are more matte than shiny and have little or no clearcoat obviously less than outer panels, thanks for pics, less process in flat paint regardless say white black red etc.
