I ordered a 2022 Mach 1 JFG back in Nov 2021 from Chapman Ford which was supposed to be ready sometime in Feb-March, but that never happened and I sort of forgot about it. Well, last week I got an email from Ford that it's being built on 8/08, but at this time I'm going to have to pass on it because I ended up purchasing a couple of other cars instead.

Here is the build below. Maybe someone else can contact the dealer and put their name on it:

  • 2022 Mach 1 Jet Fighter Grey
  • Leather Recaro
  • 700A Group
  • Tremec 6-Speed
  • Handling Package
  • Appearance Package

I thought about taking it to flip it, but by the time I pay sales tax and transport from PA to FL, there's probably no profit left unless I sell it for $70+

you might ask Ourisman Ford (manassas VA) if they'd like to buy it off of you. You may well like the answer.

Yeah, flipping it isn't worth it. I've already seen a few buyers on Facebook struggling to sell theirs for a profit. I'm glad I didn't try it with the 2022 I had on order.

there are a couple "good" deals on FB in the M1 group, but no buyers....the market is not as hot as most want it to be.

only dealers are willing to pay ~MSRP for a cars. Most people wizened up FAST when rates went up.

Not only did folks wise up to the % rates, but people are finally getting to the point that enough is ENOUGH already with the ridiculous ADM's on new cars, especially the common cookie-cutters and non-specialty vehicles. Folks are also fed up with the asinine prices being asked for used cars (both private and dealer). People paying new car prices for 5 year old used cars .... I mean seriously WTF already, when did common sense just vanish?

and BaT? That's the online equivalent to BJ Auctions - it's shill bidding at it finest and the same emotional environment lacking common sense, bidding vehicles triple beyond their worth - and to which the buyer will most likely never be able to recover their expense when they try to resell 5-10 years from now.

I get the whole "buy to flip" to make a buck, more power to anyone doing it - but folks are becoming more aware of the insanity and not buying from that bucket-o-cars as aggressively as they were.

Anyone who overpaid for any vehicle - wait until the bottom falls out of the vehicle market... same will be true with the housing market (again).
