I had the car ppf’d last year… I guess I’m not too observant these days because I just realized the side badges and the rear deck badge are not placed correctly. Left and right fender badges are at different height to each other. The rear deck badge is low on the right. I put a call into the shop but haven’t heard back.. I will deal with the shop…. But I’m curious if I can remove the letters and re-tape them myself without ruining the PPF?? Thanks in advance… also I’ve looked everywhere on line. Does anyone have the spec for the placement??

The rear one is just glued on and comes off with fishing line. I never had PPF though

I just checked mine and it looks like your passenger side is correct but the drivers side up way too high. Hope this helps!

My PPF installer said that he had done a few Mach 1s, and said while he would re-use the badges if I wanted, he recommended that they be replaced with new ones. Yes, there's a cost to that, but I wanted to avoid a problem later on the front half PPF job. The OEM badges came from Ford with enough information for my installer to make a paper template for placing the badges precisely.

Added: I discovered too late (after opening the bags containing the badges) that I had paid much more for the badges at my local dealer (whose parts guy said I was getting a discount) than I could have bought them for at Levittown Ford Parts. As the result of that discovery, Levittown is now my first stop for OEM parts (next up, a Ford Performance air/oil separator). Even with shipping, it's worth it.

There should be a template out there to use. When I had my wrap done on another car, they used a template to get the Hellcat badge back in the right spot, at the correct angle.

You do not need new badges, you just need to replace the double sided tape. At least this is what my detailer did when he put the badges on top of the PPF.

I just had PPF cut around logos, no issue at all. I use that place to show people it's actually wrapped, because it's not visible anywhere 😁 It's barely noticable.
Same here, I wanted him to cut around it, he wanted to take it off. I left it up to him and what he thought was best, and in the end, he cut around them.
