Nice. I know, different gen Coyote but what baseline (pre-adjust) spark advance do you use with “OA” off and on?
I haven’t experimented with turning on OA. However, looks like it’s commanding 14-15.5 borderline timing at WOT and it can add up to 4 deg if no knock is sensed. I’ve only seen it able to hit max timing when using a good dose of Boostane.

So far the Procharger and Whipple have the best recommendations.

Procharger. Bolt on kit that makes solid power with plenty of room to grow.

Stymee,

Would you take the Whipple over the Roush?

I love my Procharger but Whipple will have less maintenance. Centri's need the oil changed every 5-6k miles. Whipple only needs it every 100k IIRC

Guess going that route we can say whipple has a water reservoir and relies on a pump to move said water. Which means more active systems that can fail.

So you have to change centri oil twice per engine oil change? That kinda sucks...

True. More points of failure. Less regular maintenance though which is what I thought OP was worried about.

I change both every 5k. If your car is supercharged there's a good chance you don't want to wait 10k anyway lol

If you race a car I don’t wait for 5000 mile oil changes. So I don’t wait for 5000 mile blower changes either. I change my oil every 1500 miles and since I’m down there I change the blower oil

My vote for ProCharger, can we really even call it maint to change the oil in it. i mean really, i can do the car and the blower in under a beer if i wanted to. besides if it were to brake i would also have less chance of stuff making it in the intake and most likely drive it home...

Changing the oil in a self containted blower like vortech/paxton or procharger is super simple, just do it every oil change and it literally only adds 10 minutes to the process. Or if you are really lazy just get an oil fed blower like on some of the higher end vortech/paxton units

I only use oil specifically designed for high performance engines and long change intervals. If you have a supercharged coyote, you really should consider the same. If the oil is designed for it, then there is only detriment to changing it early.

Procharger states oil changes need to happen every 6,000 miles. It’s seriously as simple as it gets and easy. That’s the only maintenance on a Procharger unit.
