lower spring with MR vs. coilovers

So this might seem like an amateur question but from the little research ive done..
If your car has the MR you're options are lower springs that are compatible...
If you do coilovers you're basically replacing the whole suspension which defeats the purpose of having purchase the MR option with the Mustang?

Yeah magnaride is a electronically controlled shock/strut technology. Coilovers will replace the strut and you’ll loose the magnaride. it would be a real shame to spend the money on magnaride and then throw it out to go to cheap coilovers.

Your best option is a spring change only with a compatible spring. Those magnaride spring swaps don’t reprogram the computer as far as I know so you probably loose a little bit of the edge, but seems like people are happy enough with them.

I do have the MagneRide, goals are better handling and look/stance. Keeping stock wheels, so I want to lower it as much as I can without sacrificing performance/ handling. If it makes the suspension harder i'm fine.
