My 2020 GT500 turns on the warning light approx at half a tank! Aggressive driving in the beast does this…she is a very thirsty girl, and yes, the warning is annoying…even startling, as when my eyes are drawn to it thinking “oh, crap…check engine light”.

My wheels and tires are a little oversized; I'll take every early warning I can get.
My radio has been turned up a little higher than normal too. I’ll take an early warning as well.

WTF.

Never seen it. When I started driving 40+ years ago, my father told me he would come to my aid if the car broke, any time of day, BUT, don’t call if I ran it out of gas, I was on my own for that. Consequently, I was, and still am, very, very rarely below half a tank in any vehicle.

Yeah, but half a tank in the GT, with its tiny tank and thirsty V8, means spending more time in gas stations than on the road. :frown:
I filled it to the brim yesterday, and it said 263 kilometers to empty. :cwl:
To keep it over half I'd have to fill it up every two days. :frown:
Now, if we had a 22 gallon tank, that would be a different story. But 16 is a joke.

Because it's incredibly obnoxious. It bongs and fills up the display each and every time you start the engine, and it won't go off by itself. You must expressly acknowledge it to make it go away. This annoys the hell out of me.
The fuel level indicator turns amber anyway, and there's also a miles-to-empty indicator right there, before my eyes. Isn't that enough? Why does it have to pester me like a mother-in-law? Come on, you've warned me once, I got it, now leave me alone!

Never seen that myself, I'll take your word on that, at the 1/2 used mark I fill up.

That sucks. I typically see between 550 and 600 kilometres to empty after filling the tank on my Ecoboost.

I see over 400 miles on my V8 too. Depends how you drive it, but mine is a daily and has averaged 29mpg over the last 3000 miles. At a steady 70mph on the cruise control it will do 35mpg plus. On a thrash over short distances it will do 8mpg.
