Yeah the lack of information, and then the incorrect / inconsistent information really is horrible.

I dont think saying 'suck it up' or 'build a bridge' is really fair. Its not the customers fault at all.

I could go on about it , but im not going to fuel the fire haha.
Ford dropped the ball on this whole thing, end of story. If it were any other car I wouldhave canceled my order.

In the mean time. No Records Found

I understand your frustration as my dealer has been left in the dark and contact via phone or email has been ignored by Ford AU or has been misinformation.
However contact via Facebook Messenger has been fantastic.
When I had a problem, my messages were responded immediately.
I am still looking forward to receiving and driving my Mustang.
Yes, Ford Australia should have better contact with their customers but they were overwhelmed by the response to these cars but what other car will give you the same experience for the price?

... take a look at Mustang6G forum and I defy you to find anyone with a good word for you.....

Sorry Kerry, but I have said good things about Ford on this forum, so you are wrong in this claim. There are others that just probably don't feel any need to complain. 6000 orders placed and there is less than 5% of buyers on this forum. How do you claim to speak for all of us?

I paid my deposit and was told; the car will be about 12 months, it may change and we will let you know as it gets closer to a delivery date.

No where did Ford say, We are going to give you access to ETIS, their own system, to allow you to see how your build progresses. Nor was I told that shipping company information will be given for me to track it. All that info has come from other sources.

Ford came out in response to eager buyers and those complaining on FB and have made attempts to provide updates, even if they do come a few days after, thats is beacuse NO ONE paid for extra staff to sit in front of a PC and monitor every builds progress.

Of course some will have a go at me for saying this, but, you included me in your claims, I have the right to deny that. So please, constructive and intelligent discussion is always welcomed by me, but for those in the gala flock, don't waste anyones time, thanks.

The way Ford has handled info about the Mustang is pathetic that's why we are all here to help each other because Ford Australia won't. All I got from Facebook was cancel my order if I wanted Grabber Blue so I did.

quick duck I don't claim to speak for anyone other than myself, sorry but I read as many posts as I can and have never seen a positive comment on Ford AU communication other than through their FB page, sorry if I missed yours, Glad you are happy with the communication but read what I was said about the 6000, I was only asking Ford to improve their comunication WTF is wrong with that.

I'm not convinced that all of this is Ford Oz's fault.
Really, they are at the mercy of head office in the US.
They have zero control over pretty much anything that goes on in the process, other than allocating the orders and getting cars onto trucks and into dealerships (I imagine they do this?)
Should they be contacting us to keep us in the loop? Yes, most likely.
Having said that, I'm not losing sleep over it. I know my car is due in October but it will get here when it gets here and no amount of information sharing from Ford Oz is going to improve that particular situation.
They can't control the build quality either, which is a massive shame cos the yanks could learn a thing or too from the Aussies in this respect.
Did you get that one Ford US? Your build quality and QC are STILL sloppy.
But I still want one...

Ozengine, you collectively mentioned Mustang6g members and that's where your little rant lost me.

I think there are more constructive ways to make your point.

I also remember when this first appeared last night that the language in one post was a bit fruity to say the least but when I looked again today it had gone.

I'm actually fairly happy with Ford Australia overall; yes, frustrating at times but the dealer kept me up to date and Facebook was very helpful. The reason I didn't hear from Ford directly was they had the wrong phone no. for me and there was a slight mistake in the email address. That was the dealers' fault but typo's happen and it's been fixed.

About a week after delivery they did call me to find out how I was going and what I thought about the car.

The first problem is how Ford US communicates and cooperates with Ford AU. Second problem is how Ford AU communicates with the dealerships and then last is how the dealerships communicate to the customers.

The factory makes 500+ cars per DAY, yet we only get 2000 for the whole YEAR. Considering these numbers, I really don't understand why they're pushing the waiting times to 12+ months. The other thing that I don't understand is that this is a 3rd year in a row Ford AU gets 2000 allocations. Come on, couldn't they see the extremely high demand over the past 2 years and double the allocations this year? I'm sure they could but I'm not sure why they didn't. Maybe because they want to keep it hot and keep the price up? Ford AU representative tole me that they "fought" for allocations. I would've thought they're cooperating and not fighting, but sod knows.

If there is one person who could come up with an explanation of all the above, that would be a C-level exec at Ford AU responsible for the Mustang. I'm happy to find out who that is and maybe we can bombard them with emails outlining all these issues?

For the time being, we'll suffer the wait and hope for the best, to have our baby in our garage asap.

The explanation is simple, they are selling every car they can make into the US market. They would be more than happy to take all the Int allocation and just keep pumping out LHD to feed the US orders.

You did speak for every person ordering.. "but I think that unless you improve your feedback to customers you will have 6000 owners unimpressed with Ford AU"

Yes there a lot of posts to read and this topic is not new to this forum, that is, lack of communication expected, has been discussed in many threads, this is just one more to be started. Maybe if we kept to one thread per topic it would be a lot easier to keep up, but that's for a moderator to try work out how to.

My point was also about communication and that I have been provided with everything Ford advised me. I ordered, I wait until they have a delivery date. I was never given any other expectations. Was anyone who ordered specifically told Ford AU would communicated every stage of the build/delivery process? Or was this something they asked specifically of their dealer? Or did they come online and find resources?

I never said, don't say what you will to Ford AU, if thats how you wish to communicate with a business then thats your choice. I simply said don't include everyone and that your claim no one says anything good is inaccurate.

As I said, you want to include me in your claims, then I have the right to deny it. WTF is wrong with that.

I think the problem was they had not experience load like this before. I especially feel for people who ordered in 2014 and got there cars way later than people who did in 2015. Ford stuffed up heaps of orders. Communication from Ford Oz> Dealer > Customer is quite poor. But Ford Oz fb team is extremely helpful.

Ok yes I didn't think to add that caveat, thanks Rayan. Being told to expect it by end of 2015 and then have no updates regarding delayed deilvery was extremely bad communication from Ford AU.
