I bought this up on my Facebook the other day. I think it's an excellent idea to assemble RHD models here for AU/NZ, Asia and help with UK model production too, hell why not.

I don't think it would happen before they stop making Falcon etc here though because of the retooling and factory setup required unless there was space to add a Mustang only production line.

I suspect there are still some swansong models coming for the Falcon like a 310kw XR6 Turbo based on F6 just like the new XR8 has a lot of FPV GT Rspec similarities. So I wouldn't be surprised if they want to maintain focus on stuff like that right now.

well then I do hope you realise the Getrag/Ford MT82 transmission is made in china. While the auto is American made....

You may need to change your orders if you asked for the manual, that is if you are serious about holding fast to that opinion

There's lots of parts on this car that aren't necessarily manufactured in the USA.

For example, the V8 is from Windsor, Ontario in Canada.

Doesn't make it any less an American icon.

I dont expect each and every part of the car to be made in the USA but its nice to know that the American Icon gets rolled out of the land of the free and the home of the brave

Pffft the parts are all the same so I don't give a shit where geographically the nuts and bolts were turned clockwise if it means less than an 18 month wait for delivery.
