Been doing some reading on this forum and searching online and am close to a decision on a wheel/tire upgrade to my 2019 GT (Non-PP) and was looking for some opinions and real-life experience. I like this wheel - Ace AFF01 and have it boiled down to two options, 19x9.5" ET 40 w/265/40/19 Firehawk Indy 500's or 19x10" ET35 w/285/35/19 Firehawks. Anyone running Ace wheels? Do I have my offset parameters right? I'm concerned about road feel and tramlining from such a wide tire in front, any input on that? I am also concerned about the paint being chipped up from crap kicking up off the now poked tires so what are my options or am I overthinking this? Thanks in advance!

Those offsets look good. You shouldnā€™t have any poke with those widths/offsets. Rears should be pretty flush Since youā€™re running an appropriately sized tire for the wheel. Iā€™m assuming youā€™re stock ride height?

As far as the front tires go, you shouldnā€™t have any tramlining. Iā€™m running a 19x11 285/35 square set up and I have next to no tramlining. Worlds better than when I was running the 295 pilot super sports up front. Iā€™d say youā€™re good to go

Thanks for replying. Stock ride height, not even 250 miles yet! Could drop an 1" without worry too, correct?

You'll get some tramlining with the 19x10 and 285's up front, but it is not enough to be a deal breaker IMO.

With 285s and -2.6 camber up front on my car, it does dart about a bit on the highway. Nothing bad but I could see it getting annoying on long commutes or road trips. My car is setup for the track so not a concern for me but definitely something to consider if this is your everyday car.

Come to think of it, if performance driving isn't a concern for you, there really is no need to get larger tires.

wow those are some very expensive wheels. For that price you can be proper forged ones...
Perhaps you can point me towards a line of forged wheels that doesn't cost for one as much as four of these do?

https://www.mrrwheels.com/collections/nes-forged/products/ as I recall were about 500 each. Flow-formed are more properly 250-350 range. There's a MRR rep here on the forum in the vendor section.

As stupid expensive they are for mud guards, ZL1 Addons and RokBlox have stone solutions. Plus you can buy rolls of various PPF and slap it on the side.

To fix the GT handling you need better dampers.

I am not looking to track the car, want a better looking set of wheels that offers great street performance. I'm coming from a 2019 EcoBoost with performance pack and that car had a much more planted, stable feeling at speed.

The $500 ones are flow-formed just like the Ace wheels, the mono blocks are $1000/ea
ok, the monoblock forged are about $750 with color before reseller discounts. 500 for mere rotory-forged is still very expensive. But if that's the wheels you want, then that's what you'll have to pay...

I am looking at the Ace aff06 I was quoted
19x8.5 +25 19x10 +40 for a flush fitment and no poke
or
20" would be 20x9 +25 20x10.5 +40

Ace shows those in stock so you should be good to go. I bought mine from Wheelfire - http://www.wheelfire.com and they were great. Got myself wheel/tire combo, their tire prices beat TireRack and the included rings/lugnuts/lug tool are free as well as shipping... they only charge tax in FL so there is that too. Just be aware it will take some time to get them, Ace finishes machining them on an 'as ordered' basis so make sure to call in after placing an online order to ask for the offset you want. My wheels took almost 4 weeks from time of order to delivery....

I wonder why the difference in offset?
I don't want to run huge tires. I don't want to add a bunch of weight and tire noise just for looks.
