Er
I have a feeling the car has a break in tune like the vettes or it needs 700 more mile on the rings. It should be 420-430 to the wheels. In a month or so we will see higher numbers.

The new locked ECU Fully-Networked Vehicle (FNV) is WiFi connected. Gone are the days of driving to the dealership for a flash revision. This now happens while you’re sound asleep dreaming of whatever.
The point, if Ford is controlling flash revisions by WiFi we can all make a safe bet there’s a break-in procedure in the ECU. To what extent ….. time will tell.
That Steeda DH low number dyno pull is an anomaly, IMO 310 miles isn’t enough time before Ford turns up the wick a bit while we’re asleep in dreamland.

Exactly, so there's no reason to expect them to hold together more reliably at high power levels. Maybe he just means the basic ability to make 1100 whp which I thought was already easy to do with twins or a big centri and E85.
He was talking about the DH specifically, which does have improved connecting rods from the Predator engine.

I didn't realize the DH had upgraded rods. Do the Mach 1s as well?

No same rods as the Gen 3.
Ah, so DH engine can't handle more boost than a Gen 3 or non-DH Gen 4, then. That's where I was going.

You asked about the Mach1, which has the same rods as the Gen 3.

The DH has the Predator rods.
My confusion, then. I had assumed the M1 and DH engine internals were identical. Was anything besides the rods upgraded? Believe the cast pistons are the weakest link in the Coyote bottom end for high boost potential.

M1 is S550 with the Gen 3 Coyote, DH is S650 with the Gen 4 Coyote. That's why there's a difference.
Right, but I didn't know anything other than the dual TB intake was new on the Gen 4 Coyote. You're saying the Gen 4 rods are from the Predator. Are all the changes summarized somewhere? Would be great to get educated.
