To the OP : if you're asking this question I am assuming you can afford both including higher insurance on the GT. Its a no brainer you shouldn't be even thinking about it dude you know v8 is the way to go. The coyote.

I have a GT PP(3.73's) and average almost 21mpg on the dot. And that's a pretty even mix of highway and city, toss in some WOT passing every now and then too.

Interesting variations. I have the 3.55 and manual. I'm a really tame driver and driving all highway I'd figure my mpgs would be a little higher.
Ah well, I knew what I was signing up for. Just wish I could've held on to my gas sipper for commuting. Passed it along to my younger brother who's away at college.

So for the guy who just traded his GT for an Audi S3 so he could get his kids in the back seat- I have a feeling he is going to be much happier with his 4cyl turbo car than with the GT. Well, at least until it is out of warranty.

I care about infotainment
GT. You should see the number of 6G members that traded in their EBs for a GT a few months after buying the EB.

If you long for the V8 rumble that will never go away; and it can't be replaced by an ecoboost, even with aftermarket exhaust.

The base head unit is ugly as hell imho, but I'd rather a Base w/PP than a nice interior. But that's just me.

GT always!

You're buying the quintessential American Muscle Car. You're buying the sound and performance history. That didnt happen with a 4 banger.

Interior swap is cheap.... I just got the Katzkin group buy. Full custom leather interior in my color choices was 675 shipped.

You want more performance... the base GT is perfect for upgrading over time. My plan is as follows:

1500 in suspension gets me a monster that is track capable
800 in exhaust (already installed) gets me that muscle car sound
700 in interior

For the creature comforts that come with a fully loaded EB, Id much rather pick and choose over time what I want to improve on the base GT.

As someone said, the engine is the only thing that you cant upgrade.

The decision took me only a day or so after driving both to choose the GT.

You know you can replace the base head for anywhere from $300 to 800 bucks, right?

That's what a few of us have done.

You in Tampa? Come to the Pony Up Mustang Mondays at Biffs sometime. 1st Monday of the meetups. Good people (except for me - I'm an asshole, but honest about it).
I go to Tampa quite often. I have a friend that lives over there. What time does that start as I work until 6 ?

1st Monday of every month. Starts at 6, unfortunately. We used to have a gal who could come down from Orlando with her Ecoboost... until she blew up the motor with a bad email tune.
