Indeed, but the trolls refuse to quit shitting on every thread that tries to just share info. This forum is like a Ford ARFCOM.Bottom line is the car should not be hitting limp mode on the street. Regardless of how long you stay in any gear. For track use and abuse I totally understand. On the street in ANY driving conditions the car should not be limiting itself.
In which case you can simply downshift, pass/evade and then go back to 6th.exactly, in most traffic 5th is needed to get out of your own way
Wow I do not need a MAP, and no you do not need to print me out a manifest and route that you want to take sir, I just asked what Mountains you were talking about sir, but I can see you are one very unhappy person, and I'm sorry that I asked any thing about your fricken trip, so if you think that your 350 may go into the limp mode, then drive something else, who else have you gone off on today, good luck on your trip, superman07, if your 350 goes in the limp mode superman, pick it up and fly it there. :frusty:Yes, people with zero skin in the game, with coolers, refuse to quit shitting on those that do not. It doesn't end, and your non productive comments in each and every possible thread with your opinion without any possible first hand knowledge of a cooler less car do not help. I only make my statements as they are factual and can help others with a base or tech. I dont care if some want to apologize for Ford at every turn belittling those with issues.
As for my route, I can make my own thanks, but sense everyone seems so quick to fuck with me due to their own implied opinions about the car sans coolers I will not be leaving from Columbus, I will also be driving north from Morgantown to visit family in Uniontown, and also going to Nemacolin, not that it is any of anyone elses business.
But I'm glad you have a map. Would you like me to print out a manifest and route description for the dispatch sir?
Why cant some people just worry about themselves.
Enjoy the drive Gordon! I hope you never see limp mode.I have been driving some in 100+ weather this week. No hills or long trips but no issues either. I will be driving this weekend and we'll see.
What brand fluid did you get ?changed my tranny fluid to full synthetic
will see what happens this weekend. sat is gonna rain the pace will be slower.
bullshit you were trolling and got called out.Wow I do not need a MAP, and no you do not need to print me out a manifest and route that you want to take sir, I just asked what Mountains you were talking about sir, but I can see you are one very unhappy person, and I'm sorry that I asked any thing about your fricken trip, so if you think that your 350 may go into the limp mode, then drive something else, who else have you gone off on today, good luck on your trip, superman07, if your 350 goes in the limp mode superman, pick it up and fly it there. :frusty:
No I wasn't, I just asked what Mountains your were talking about, you said it was a four hour drive from Columbus Ohio to Morgantown West Virginia, and I live in Parkersburg WV, sir that's why I asked about the Mountains, and I see your still one unhappy guy!!!!!!! :ford: :cheers:bullshit you were trolling and got called out.
screen name?Indeed, but the trolls refuse to quit shitting on every thread that tries to just share info. This forum is like a Ford ARFCOM.
I swear some of you must have a ford logo on your direct deposit. I'm out. I'm tired or arguing with people that refuse to listen and instead attack messengers. Wait and see for yourself.
So I feel like I should update everyone on the learning curve here. I received a reply from Ford and I am getting all the information documented in the event there are more folks with the issue.I just put our car in for service exactly for this issue, we will see what they say now. I didn't even get an hour into the drive, granted this wasn't like I was racing or anything, but of course there was not codes in the computer when they plugged into it. I still love the car, it turns heads so fast, and it still smokes down the highway, but I am concerned about this becoming an issue with daily driving.
so i hate to be captain buzzkill, but this topic has been broached already. So I feel like I should update everyone on the learning curve here. I received a reply from Ford and I am getting all the information documented in the event there are more folks with the issue.
Ford put our a tech alert #5542 Effective date 27-April-2016
"Some 2015-2016 Mustang GT350 vehicles not equipped with the optional Track Package may experience high transmission fluid temperatures from extended high speed or racetrack operation. The PCM will reduce power and/or RPM in addition to storing P0218 and P1783 DTCs when this occurs. This should be considered a normal operating condition for vehicles not equipped with an external transmission oil cooler. Customers should be reminded to refer to the owner guide for recommendations on sustained high speed or track use and possible warranty implications. This notice does not apply to GT350R or GT350 Track Package equipped vehicles."
As of now, Ford has not offered any remedy for the Tech Package limp issue. My dealer, which is just learning about these cars, has offered to replace the transmission and add the transmission cooler for $6800, and drivetrain warranty will remain in effect. Ford Performance is working on a aftermarket cooler, but this will void the factory warranty since it is will not be OEM. If you experience one of these episodes I ask you to take in your tech pack car to log an event with Ford Service, the government will not mandate a recall unless a percentage of these cars displays the same issue, and or it represents a hazard to drivers. I plan to take mine in every time I trigger one. This is the first summer with the car, so I have a feeling more people will experience the same issue I had as time progresses.
