While taking off my resonators, my fabricator friend proposed a pump setup.

Basically, this $400 pump: http://www.turbokraft.com/catalog/product_reviews.php?products_id=90

With something like this $500 fan'd radiator: https://bowlertransmissions.com/p/79/xtreme-dual-cool-aluminum-transmission-cooler

Will probably be guaranteed to cool it enough and you could put it pretty close to the transmission itself rather than have to plumb it all the way up to the front of the car. I need to research the size of the fill and drain holes on the trans to find some fittings.

Still need to find a way to get the oil in and out of the transmission. Apparently the non Track transmission does not have the inlet and outlet that the Track ones have.

Excuse my ignorance - Doesn't dumping the cooled oil back in through the fill hole risk whipping the oil?
the factory return dumps pretty much right onto the front cluster. I'd dare to guess if anything would cause it to whip, it would be that.

You don’t want to know
fill and drain.
I don't know where the fill and drain holes are located, but I remember someone along the way saying that they were too close together for the circulation through the cooler to be effective. Anyone with a Tech know for sure?

The only way to know would be to install a cooler and test it, so my guess would be no one knows for certain.

However, I can't see how the distance between the holes would matter that much WRT the cooling effects. I would expect there's lots of oil movement inside the transmission, so if you can cool one area, the fluid movement will take care of cooling the rest of the transmission.

The fill and drain are above and below one another at the back of the transmission case. It would not be ideal but it would still help. The factory cooler lines are split, one in the front (pump) and return line towards the back so fluid is pulled through the trans. You could always drill and tap a hole but that of course would require pulling the transmission apart.

Yeah, I'd be fine with being the guinea pig here. When on track you're sloshing alot of stuff back and forth, it's not like you're cooling while stationary. The pump is 3 gallons per minute. Trans fluid capacity is 2.5 quarts, so you're cycling the entire capacity of the trans 4.75 times per minute or roughly every 13 seconds.

Just that amount of suction should give a lot of movement too.

I need to figure out what size the drain and fill plugs are...

The part number for the trans fill and drain plugs is 1R3Z-7A010-AA, same plug for both. I can't find the specs of it anywhere online so I've ordered one to take dimensions of.

Just can't get enuff!
No limp mode in the autox for me today and I did all 6 runs in Track mode however on my 4th run the ECM kicked me out of Track mode halfway through my 50sec run. Must be the sensitivity threshold due to abrupt cornering and maneuvers... it basically placed me back into Normal mode and mode change was unavailable for a good 20secs. I was still able to finish quite quick but nannies were all "on"... for autox, I much prefer full Track mode.

So my concern is...can the Gt350 handle 90+ degree temps at 85 MPH for extended travel (tank of gas)? I'm from Texas and that's a typical road trip.

I just put our car in for service exactly for this issue, we will see what they say now. I didn't even get an hour into the drive, granted this wasn't like I was racing or anything, but of course there was not codes in the computer when they plugged into it. I still love the car, it turns heads so fast, and it still smokes down the highway, but I am concerned about this becoming an issue with daily driving.
