might be back ordered on the sync system or something. I like Ford, but their parts supply chain can be wonky. They had to give me a rental once for 28 days for a vacuum pump.

You don’t want to know
Ford hasn't stopped building any flavors of the GT 350. According to FP and multiple dealers I talked with, rumors - just rumors.

I talked to FP today and was told that there was no hold on making tech cars vs. track cars. He also said that Ford was working on the cooler issue. He made the comment that for about $500 we could make our own cooler setup, lol. Really nice guy, thought the cooler upgrade would not be a freebie and I don't blame Ford for that. If I decide to add the cooler I'll be more than happy to pay for it as well as installation by my dealer.

Ford is working on coolers, that i did get. What are you implying by: for about $500 we could make our own?

Are you saying Ford will charge $500 for their coolers, and we pay installation !

Im guessing $500-900 for parts. I wouldnt expect ford to install them for free either
They should for us base/ tech owners ! ;)

Oh and please, i don't want to star another useless argument on this.

Let's leave it at that.

I just want the damn cooler. I want it to work and I want my warranty to still be covered. I don't "GIVE A CARE" If it costs me money I just want the car to perform. I don't believe I will ever sell it want it till they throw dirt on my head. One of the best rides you can get for the money.

Now, I know I'm a dumb Okie, but gee, I thought this was fairly clear:

" for about $500 we could make our own cooler setup"

Hey, this guy was really helpful and great to work with, I took his remark as a somewhat joking comment. As mama would say, "don't get your panties in a bunch"

I wouldn't be surprised if the trans cooler components costs $500.

Strut tower brace - 200
Trans cooler - 500
Diff cooler - 500
Recaro seats - 2000
Magnaride - 2000

Just rough figures using the cost they are to the consumer. Just about comes out to the Track Package cost.

Except Recaro Seats are in the base model, so they don't count. Also, the price of the track pack is $6500.

It does seem like Ford may have overcharged for that package, based on what you are getting. It seems like the coolers were more like $3500: $2000 for Mag ride, $500 Strut Tower, $500 spoiler, leaving for the $3500 coolers. It does seem like $3500 is quite a bit to charge for the two, although in retrospect maybe worth the money.

Oh, thought they had different seats for the Base but you get the idea. There will always be some fluff for Ford to pocket in packages like these so you have to account for that, along with the handling of complexity at assembly plants.

Upon rethinking, 750-1000 per cooler sounds more accurate.

I wonder if the magneride costs more for Ford vs GM. I know ~2k is the add on cost for a lot of GM cars, but I wonder if they brokered a standing discount for all of their purchases as part of the sales agreement with BWI. Not to mention GM uses it in a ton of their cars so they might get volume discounts on top of that

It's been reported the difference in Tremec transmissions is about $800 between the Base/Tech and the Track/R models, maybe more? Actual coolers & lines "should" not cost all that much... your ~$500 price could be right on. The aluminum strut tower bar is about $350 in the parts dept. Also, you would need to subtract the price from the steel bar that's used on the Base/Tech.

You also need to account for the difference in cost between the track pack transmission and the tech/base transmission.

There is a reason ford didn't just use the same transmission without the coolers on the base/tech.
