Hi all,
I'm hoping one or more of you will be able to help with some info about the factory licence plate mounting points. In Australia we have wider licence plates which are around 20% shorter in height than your US plates. We need to have front and rear licence plates (unfortunately)
Ford Australia is going to be supplying us with hideous plate brackets that bolt up to the factory points, but fit our plates. I've attached some pictures to show what I'm talking about.
I've contacted a local Australian supplier of licence plate brackets to see if he can manufacture something for the Mustang - this is where I need some help.
As none of our Australian cars have arrived yet and are a little while away, I'm hoping some of our brethren from across the pond can help out with some measurements outlined below (if these measurements could be as accurate as possible, that would be greatly appreciated).
In the front picture:
1: refers to the measurement between the central crease in the front bumper to the centre of the factory mounting dimples.
2: refers to the height of the portion of the bumper between the grilles. I'm after the whole height, if you measure the chamfered area as well that would be great, but not 100% necessary.
3: refers to the height from the dimple to the top of the bumper section.
4: refers to the height from the dimple to the bottom of the bumper section.
In the rear picture:
1: refers to the distance between the mounting dimples to the centre of the hole above it.
2: refers to the distance from centre to centre of the holes at the top.
3: refers to the distance between the mounting dimples.
4: refers to the diameter and protrusion from the bumper of the mounting holes.
Any information that can be provided will be greatly appreciated! :hail:
Cheers
