Here is a starting point and my perdictions for MSRP. It's still unclear, at least to me, how many options will be offered. What it's sounding like is there will be 3 main packages. I'm sure many know more than I do but this is just to start discussions.
Please post your thoughts. Of course this means nothing (especially for those of us on California)

Starting $$$
GT350 - $59,140
GT350R - $67,135
GT500 - $73, xxx (Base)
GT500 - $76,xxx (Track)
GT500 - $79,xxx (Track/Carbon)

Ford would be foolish. To show up late to party. And be the most expensive. Sooooo im going with it'll be competitively priced to the dodge and Chevy.

All we can do is see when it comes out. I'm taking a huge leap of faith moving forward and I feel I won't be disappointed.

I will play along....
base $68k
track $70k
carbon track $78k
I agree Ford can't ask for much more than Chevy and Dodge this late in the game. I posted in a another thread that back in 2015 many folks GT350 predictions overshot the mark by about $5-10k so I'm trying to factor all of that in.

I think the base GT500 will cost less than the GT350R, but more than the GT350. I'm guessing about $62k. The ZL1 is about $60k, so it's possible that the base GT500 will cost slightly below that, though. The ZL1 1LE costs about $70k and I think the top GT500 will cost very close or just over that ~$72K.

I think the Ford will be quicker than the Chevy, but I don't believe Ford can pretend that Chevy isn't the direct competitor and price the GT500 significantly over the ZL1 and the ZL1 1LE. Actual cost to purchase will of course be higher for the Ford, but I don't think they will position their MSRP too much higher than the Chevy. Certainly not 10-15% higher. That's my guess.

I think you're right on with the difference between the base and carbon being ~10K, give what we know about CF wheel costs, etc., and I also agree about the starting price, just a tag under $70K (in another post I wrote, $69,995 :D) There's a good marketing narrative to saying, "Starts in the 60s", even if barely, with the price difference being easily justified (at least in marketing speak, i.e., in the 60s like the ZL1 but with a DCT, 100 more HP, bigger brakes, blah blah blah ...)

My original thought was, starting price $65k to match the Hellcat and a bit more than the ZL1. But, I just couldn't imagine ANY GT500 being priced below ANY GT350.
But if so.......
Base $65k
Track $68k (cheaper than ZL1 1LE)
Carbon $78k

Fingers crossed

Yes things get expensive quick when you want all the cool stuff. But I still think it would be foolish. To prce it higher than the competition. The ZL1 1Le comes in at 74 grand loaded. And the red eye comes in at 82 grand. Match the red eye price. And no one will complain.

And I think that is exactly where it will land. Once the ADMs die down (and they will) you will see a much more accepting attitude towards the car. Right now this ADM hysteria is throwing a negative spin since its release (not to mention the transmission purists).

I get what you are saying. I would assume that the DCT is more expensive than a manual box - even a unique manual transmission with pump incorporated. I think the development costs of the Voodoo were/will be higher than those of the GT500's engine, but the build cost will be higher for the GT500 engine.

Adding in the red eye to the list could give a reason to go higher in price. If the ZL1 1LE can be as much as 74 grand, I could see the loaded GT500 being up in the $78K area.

Is it a good assumption that we will see similar option packages as the GT350? Aside from the new 'Track' package?

Well, the most expensive one I was able to build was $70,390, with a special color and nav added, most options aren't available on the ZLE, with D/H ($995) and the GGT ($1700), it's $73,085.

Of course, that doesn't factor in the easy-to-find $6000 discount :D The "street price" difference will of course be __ugly__.
