So, obviously the boss and cobra jet manifold don't fit under the stock hood without lowering the engine, so anyone know if anyone is planning on making one compatible with the new S550?

Anyone know how much the engine would have to be lowered to allow the current cobra jet manifold work?

I did also notice that the GT350 uses a stock style manifold so maybe the new manifold is better than we might think?

Any thoughts?

I thought bama used the boss intake on their 2015 but i might be mistaken.

It seems as though there is a good chance the 5.2 manifold would fit the 5.0, as they share very similar architecture, so that would be cool.

There is an article in mustangs and fast fords showing ford racing drag racing / testing an NA mustang gt and supercharged. If you have or can find this, I rmember reading that the NA car had a prototype intake that ford racing has yet to release.

Anyone got good ford racing info??

Most of the shops seem to think the manifold is a waste of time. The stock one seems to be designed very well. What do you plan to gain with a manifold swap?

Hard to say if that would be an upgrade to the Coyote as it was designed for a different engine. The Voodoo has different requirements so it's entirely plausible the Voodoo intake could be detrimental to performance on a Coyote.

I think they were talking about a CAI, not an actual intake manifold.

RPM's. The stock Coyote intake starts dropping power at around 6,500rpm. If you could have an intake that continues to produce power beyond 7,500rpm it would be perfect for an N/A application.

At that point aren't you also going to need to upgrade engine components to keep that RPM as well? Not sure the power gain/$ is worth it? But I could just be missing the point entirely.

No internal upgrades necessary for 7,500rpm. Hell my 2011 has been running to 7,600rpm for 4 years, Vorshlag runs to 7,800rpm in their racecar. It some point billet oil pump gears would be wise but I'm not running ovals here. The 2015 Coyote already has upgraded rods and valvesprings.

UPR or Steeda's motor mounts will allow you to install both manifolds. I plan to wait a bit for the CJ.

Its been well established that the cobra jet manifold with throttle body produces good gains on the coyote. You might loose a little bit of torque down low, but it has been well documented to produce substantially more power than the stock coyote manifold.

Also, yes the the 5.2 is a different engine, but its still an engine, which is essentially a pump. If you can feed it with more air and use it, then it will produce more power. If the 5.2 manifold fits the coyote, i would expect it to produce more power than the stock coyote. And in this case still retaining good torque down low, as it retains the charge motion valves (or i think thats what there called) for improved low down torque.

Just my opinion of course!

They did. The car gained power with the Boss manifold over stock while on nitrous, but without the nitrous the Boss manifold lost power over stock.

Correct. You will lose power/tq in the midrange so yeah that's a hell no. The manifold on the 2015s works excellent. Focus on other areas....

N/A I partially agree with you ... with a centrifugal unit installed I would actually be extremely interested in swapping manifolds.
