True I guess it just depends on what you can afford but for me I would spend the extra and get the latest and greatest especially considering the power gain potential and prefer new.
Oh, understood but there are a lot of people that just want to add power in general and will never try and squeeze every last HP. Whipple has now made it possible for just about anyone to find a reason to make the decision to go FI with all these options. Once again, Whipple is at the top of their game

Ok so the biggest question here is what will this put down on e85 @ 22-24 PSI?

Gen 2 is around 1000.
Bumping for an answer to this although more to the question of general efficiency increase. I.E. will this new head unit support for overall boost before tapping out?

"The Gen 3 also features upgraded double lip PTFE rotor seals for higher RPM, higher temp and higher pressure ratios."

I’m sure Whipple and Lethal Performance will be posting up some results once they get more testing on different setups. Main reason I upgraded to the Gen 3 is my new fulley forged 5.2L motor can handled up to 30psi so it’s perfect for the new Gen 3 and I’m sure it’ll be able to handle higher boost more efficiently. Should know in a few weeks with some Dyno numbers

For those looking to upgrade to the gen 3 and the 150mm TB is it possible for a future customer to purchase the level 1 kit and upgrade their injectors to the 72# ones as in the level 2 kit?
In this scenario I could sell my gen 2 and 132mm TB to a new owner who would buy a cheaper level 1 kit.

Yes, only variable being it may require an updated tune to run the larger injectors but I'm not sure on that and leave that question to the experts.

This looks nice. Luckily for me, mine is stock except for exhaust. I'm saving up and when it comes time to get a supercharger, I can just go right to the Gen 3. I don't have to decide if upgrading to Gen 3 is worth it since I don't have a blower to begin with.

At the risk of getting a hand-slap for being off-topic.........is there anything in R&D for the '17 6.2 for Super Duty trucks?
Yes, we are working on it now and it will be backwards compatible. Roughly 60-90 days away from releasing. Same kit as our Raptor 6.2L for the SC although its a Gen 3 version, but some changes on the heat exchanger, etc and new calibration.

Same boost, increased efficiency. In some cases, at high power 20+psi, boost will actually drop while power increases due to the cooler temp.

Did i say that?

Point was the whipple kits exist for the 6.2 as mentioned above the 2017s will be covered too.

Highly doubt the engine changed from 16 to 17 so major changes id doubt.

Its still a 6.2 You even mentioned the updated kit for the 2017 would be good all the way back to 2011.......LOL

Either way good job taking that out of context.
Our kit fits up to 2011. The new version will be for all years, but we currently do not support past 2011.

10 speed auto is a game changer. I bought a ZL1 and I love it every single day. It rips
I 100% agree, we did our ZL1 upgrade kit testing on a 10-speed, unreal transmission. I have a 16 Camaro with the 8 speed, same power range, not even close, that 10 speed is going to be huge. Were putting a lot of effort into this part of the calibration.
