Id like to see the full installation procedure!!! can you give me a link to your post? The above would be the way I'd normally handle it. In this case, with this car, I'd consider going all the way simply because it would bug the crap out of most of us. The question is whether the risk is worth even more damage (potentially, anyway).
Yup. When I yanked my 4" screen and swapped in an 8" I had to pull this panel. Even with all the right tools, as you pry it seems (at times) as though you are exceeding a threshold and are very close to snapping something. And this is after identifying where the clips were and prying/pulling in the right spots. I definitely wouldn't do this in colder temperatures.

Good call, thanks! This worked far better than it had any right to:Hit it with a black Sharpie marker, then make a decision . . . . .
Looks near invisible with that touch up. I'd leave it alone. Not worth the risk of the Ford Tech breaking or scratching something else trying to replace it. Or possibly introducing a rattle where there is none.Good call, thanks! This worked far better than it had any right to:

The only way you can see it now is the indentation of the scratch itself in the paint.
Tempted to just leave it be now. I'll never notice it day to day.
