But is it real carbon fiber; or just looks like it... It says "remanufactured to look like cf"...

I don’t really know, as for sure my overlay is.
Have not seen it described in that way before. They usually call the fake stuff wrap, style or simulated.

We may need to see the underside to be sure.

The base model R (no radio, etc) does not have the gauges. It has the three vents.

Since we’re on the topic, what do folks think about the overlays from Dyna Performance? Im typically anti-overlay because it will always just look like an overlay, but my son just did the dash in his S197 car and I gotta say I’m fairly impressed.

I have it and I already ordered a replacement overlay. I can't stand the gaps. I didn't think it would bother me but it does.

I pulled out the stick on overlay for the solid carbon fiber piece, the rest of the console still has the stick on type. I was ok with the original at first but the seam in middle and the weave going in the opposite direction was killing me.

The new one fully overlaps the corners and edges for an oem look. I need to take better pics to show the details.


I got a little sloppy with my heat gun and accidentally burned my glove compartment while removing the old one.
